Jack in the Box — Restaurant in McAllen

I've always liked their value for the money as much as their flavorful and creative specialties but this past Tuesday they just went overboard with customer care and human sense.

I got there and ordered a new special from their value menu cause I've been on a tight budget since COVID. I was still carrying a $20 balance in my checking account and thought I was good to clear just an $8 ticket but that was not the case and my bank decided to reject it.

I was already asking the cashier to cancel my order with my ego served on a plate when along came the Manager and told me I got a "Manager's Special" which ultimately meant a deep (+50%) discount on my whole meal.

Dear Jack In the Box Manager, if you're reading this, you're the man and I owe you for helping me make ends meet till the next paycheck which fortunately arrived today.

I'll be visiting your place now more frequently than ever and will look for a way to pay back the favor. You've earned a lifetime hardcore fan....

ZERO!!!! I had an online order, I went to pick it up I wasn’t asked for a name of the order, they ended up giving me someone else order, I told them this isn’t my order it’s under * they tell me oh it’s been picked up! they tell me they can’t do anything because someone else picked it up! I asked how can someone just pick up and order with no information on the order or name and they just shrugged 🤷‍♂️ shoulders! I wasn’t even asked what the name of the order was they just handed me a random order ! Offered no type of solution at all!! Never going back ! Manager was no help he shrugged his shoulders how can a manager not know or at the very least give some type of solution! Employee was rude! How can you just give an order out without asking for names...

Go somewhere else. This used to be my go-to Jack in the Box, but after horrible service the last couple of times, I would not be wasting my time or money here ever again. There's been times I ordered 5 pc chicken strips and gave me 4 or 3. I pay $14 for the 5 pc, not the 3. Nevertheless, I let it go. Went today, spent $14 on a 5 piece combo meal, and was being charged for sauce???? They gave me one sauce for 5 pc chicken strips, unbelievable. Meanwhile, on the app, the sauces are free. This place likes to rob it's costumers. I would understand if it was raising canes but Jack in the box?? Come on. I don't want a "we are sorry for the inconvenience" type apology simply because I will never step foot in a jack in the...
