I placed a phone order for a Mrs G’s Friday special today. The prices on the menu outside do not reflect the actual prices. There is a statement that says their prices have increased. There is also a sign that says you get a 4% discount for paying with cash. The woman told me the price, I gave her cash. She actually owed me change but didn’t give it to me. I thought, ok they can keep it. I had to ask for a receipt because she didn’t give me one. The receipt doesn’t show the price only total including tax. So I went by later and asked what the prices for specials is, I showed him the receipt he said I needed to come back and talk to the cashier that it wasn’t him. I asked about the 4% discount for paying with cash. He said that if they are real busy they forget to ask if they are paying with cash and do not apply the 4% discount. He kept telling me I needed to speak to the cashier because it had nothing to do with him. I tried to ask at least three times to ask why they offered a discount for paying with cash if they don’t apply it. He wouldn’t let me speak, he just kept talking over me. He said it was too much talking when in reality he was doing all the talking. So 4% not applied, how many times a day, eventually adds up. They need to update their menu prices outside and remove the 4% discount that isn’t applied anyway. I don’t think I will be going back...
Read moreThe carne guisada is what brings me back to Ms. G's time and time again. I hope they never skim on their quality and portions. The food is pretty consistent but I'd like the meat to be trimmed a little better to cut off more of the gristle, fat and nerves but I'm super picky and like the meat to be extra lean. Most people probably aren't as picky as me. I have to pick through my tacos every time to remove what I don't like and leave only the meat. If you aren't as picky as me about the meat and you can eat anything then you'll absolutely love Ms. G's. I've noticed that some things aren't what they use to be for example, they don't run their agua fresca machine anymore The empty inoperable dispenser speaks negatively about the business like if they're not doing so well or that maybe they don't care. I would get that thing up and running ASAP because even if you don't sell much agua fresca, at least make it look like you do. I enjoy seeing Pina, Tamarindo and Jamaica aguas running and it makes me want some plus it lets the customer know that they care about the appearance of the place and that they're pushing all their products. Be proud of your mother's legacy Ms. G, keep up on the great food and consider some cosmetic improvements. The customers will keep coming trust me...
Read moreI would give 0 stars if I could just had the worst experience of being a customer there only when mrs gs is there do they do things right. they got my order wrong I ordered 4 fajita w chorizo beans and avocado 2 papa with chorizo beans and 2 carne guisada they gave me 4 tacos chorizo beans 1 carne guisada 1 fajita w/ avocado and 2 papa egg almost $30 so they can mess up my whole order and on top the guy I spoke to kept talking over me telling me I told him wrong after laughing saying I wanted to mix fajita choribeans and avocado all together when He was taking the order which only contradicts that he understood my order but wrote it wrong at the end hE got me so heated telling me he was gonna hang up on me because I kept repeating he shouldn’t get orders if he can’t get them right until that point I hadn’t said a single curse word only told him facts how you expect customers if you’re going to be rude at the end I did yell at him because he got me so heated and I hung up I expect to be contacted by the owner herself because this place has become a circus of people who work there and think they can speak to customers...
