Went there for lunch and was very happy with the experience. The parking lot is a little poorly designed, but once you figure out where their lot is, its ok. We had the french dip and the chicken club. I opted for the fried chicken breast instead of grilled and let me tell you, it was done to perfection. Extremely flavorful and juicy. As long as they keep this quality of food, i will keep coming back. The server was friendly without being there too much and not gone too long. We had the perfect amount of attention that kept us well serviced but didnt interrupt our conversation and visit. The atmosphere is just slightly louder than i normally feel comfortable at, but i didnt feel like i was yelling when i was talking. The table placement is almost perfect. My chair was maybe a few inches closer to the chair behind me to the point that i felt like moving a bit when they got up to leave, but the actual table could have been closer to the wall which would have taken care of that issue. They overall experience was very enjoyable. Any flaws that we encountered were actually fixable by us and didnt require any staff assistance. The place was clean and the menu had many items that i want to try to the point that it took a few extra minutes just to decide. The prices were average for the times we live in and if you plan realistically, you wont be surprised. I didnt really see anything priced high except maybe the wings and not by much, especially if they are whole wings and not pieces. I do not know if they are whole wings or not, but i plan to find out next visit, which i believe will be tomorrow, making 2...
Read moreI'll be honest, the thing that drew me to this place was the name. As a huge fan of The Office, the name "Poor Richards" seemed right up my alley. We walked in and it was self-seating, which during the busy time we were there meant that we really had to be on our toes to find a table because there were several people waiting and no one really knew who was "next." Once we eventually found a table, we ordered a couple of appetizers: the poutine fries and the fried cheese sticks, and each of us got 6 wings. I had the dry rub cajun and my wife had the parmesan garlic. The food was absolutely delicious. They also have a decent selection of beers on tap, including Arsenal Cider which is my wife's favorite. The wait staff was very friendly. The environment was kind of loud, but that didn't detract from the experience as you wouldn't really expect a place like this to be quiet. It would be a great place to take kids where you wouldn't have to worry about them being loud. The seating is a little cramped, but I understand it given the popularity of this place. We will...
Read moreAllow me to start off by saying the 3 bartenders that took care of us throughout the evening were absolutely great!!! However, the 2 fish sandwiches we ordered were a joke - dry, overcooked, small and appeared to be nothing more than a frozen, breaded fish filet. For $15 a pop, they were a beatdown. In simple terms, the fish sandwiches sucked! I wouldn't pay $5 for a fish sandwich there. When we paid our bill, the receipt showed an amount about $4 more than what the initial check indicated and I thought the bartender maybe rang up the wrong check - nope! The owners of this establishment have the audacity to charge a 3% upcharge for using a credit/debit card. This after charging top dollar for even a domestic draft beer. I've been to Poor Richard's tons of times over the years and never really had anything bad to say until this past Friday's visit. I'm simply never...
