I always wanted to try this place, as the design for the building always caught my eye. So one day after work decided to stop by and try a mocha latte. The shop is clean and calm. Took an order for my mocha latte I asked for a medium, Cost about 6-7 $ I forget. The place I normally go to is about 5.60 also ordered a cinnamon roll, which they said they partner with a local bakery. I would imagine Tim's but could be someone else. Which Is awesome for businesses to help each other and due business. Took about 3 minutes to get mine which is normal.
The Mocha Latte. Came out hot which is good, unfortunately thats the only thing I can say good about it. The Latte had a really bad aftertaste, Think starbucks but more burnt. They clearly burned it or maybe thats just how they tate at this shop. All I can say was not a fan. The Chocolate was underwhelming, not enough in it but its possible the burnt aftertaste was hiding it from me. To say I was disappointed from it would be an understatement. Especially with the price I paid.
The cinnamon roll was really good, they were able to heat it up and I enjoyed it. However I can't give them too much praise on it as Like I said, its from a local Bakery.
Shop and atmosphere is really cool you can even walk into the train, however I dont know if I...
Read moreUPDATE: I have now come here a few more times since my initial visit and I'm more and more frustrated. If you are in a hurry or intend to make this your quick stop on your way to a busy weekend, I'd suggest moving on. With 3 to 4 people working the line, people should not be waiting 20+ minutes for a coffee. Otherwise, still love the food and coffee if you intend to dine in. Seriously needs to improve their efficiency with how much mccordsville is growing. It can't sustain this. People are leaving before their orders are completed because it's taking so long. Prices are also a bit high for the massive wait inconvenience.
We are new to the area and hosting friends from out of town. Coworkers raved about this place and the small town atmosphere it offers. We went around 10AM on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating outside and we got lucky enough to sit in the back of the train car! The food was so good! The bagels appeared fresh baked or atleast locally sourced, the coffee was so delicious, and the customer service was great! Will definitely go back again soon! Hoping that it opens for Sunday mornings someday. We love Sunday morning coffee...
Read moreMy search for a good coffee shop in Indianapolis took me to Coffee at Crossings today and I am so glad I stopped here to try coffee. It's a small, beautiful cafe with very friendly staff and one of very few coffee shops who offers authentic, tasty coffee in beautiful coffee mugs..It's a small, cute coffee shop with enough parking spots around it. They have outdoor seating right in front of the train engine and on a beautiful day you can sit and enjoy perfectly brewed coffee. The interior is beautiful and yes there are seating spots inside the train engine. The interior decor of this place is very beautiful and attention to detail is amazing, a very happy place to sit, relax and enjoy coffee. I ordered Latte 16oz and a flat white 12 iz which were served in a good old coffee cup, I have to admit I had a perfect cup of latte after a very long time, the flat was delicious too but I wish I have asked for an extra shot of coffee in it. Coffee at Crossings is a Must try coffee shop and will highly recommend stopping by here and enjoy the perfect cup of coffee and enjoy the beautiful decor. A perfect 5...
