5 stars isn't enough...I'd give Godfather's Pizza 10 stars if I could! I'm still reeling from the flavor bomb that hit my taste buds just now. My family and I stumbled upon this hidden gem in McKinney, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer. We're talking a 15-minute drive from Prosper, but trust me, it's worth every second.
We ordered the Taco Pizza (mind blown!), a classic cheese, and a Chicken, Bacon, and Garlic masterpiece. The cheese pizza was a perfect canvas, but the real stars were the other two. The Taco Pizza was loaded with seasoned ground beef, tomatoes, and a sprinkle of taco sauce that complemented the melted mozzarella perfectly. And the Chicken, Bacon, and Garlic pizza? Wow! Each slice was piled high with juicy chicken, crispy bacon, and a generous sprinkle of garlic that added a depth of flavor. I could literally feel the weight of each slice, these pizzas weren't messing around!
Each bite was like a party in my mouth, the freshness and authenticity of the ingredients shone through in every morsel. I'm talking crispy crust, gooey cheese, and flavors that danced on my palate. The taco pizza was a revelation...who knew combining seasoned ground beef, tomatoes, and taco sauce with melted mozzarella could be so sublime? And the chicken, bacon, and garlic pizza was a masterclass in balance and flavor.
For years, I've been stuck in a pizza rut, ordering from the usual chains like Domino's and Pizza Hut. But Godfather's has awakened my taste buds, and I'm hooked. The quality is top-notch, and you can tell they're using real ingredients, not some processed stuff. I'm not even kidding when I say I'd drive further just to get a slice (or three).
If you're a pizza lover like me, do yourself a favor and get to Godfather's in McKinney. Be prepared for a wait, but it's worth it. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was lively. We'll be back, and we'll be bringing friends. I think I've finally found my new go-to pizza spot, and I'm excited to try more of their menu items. Godfather's, you've got a loyal...
Read moreWhen we walked into this place yesterday, we were able to walk right up to the counter. I have not had this place since 1996 in Florida. It has been long overdue. I recently found that these places were still on the market back in 2020, but the drive was too far. The online menu was different than what the actually had on the menu screen. Once I got to the facility. It was expanded. They had more items to choose. If you walked into the location then what was actually on the menu online. Some additional specialty pizzas like the one I had which was the spicy chicken pesto. They also had another non-spicy pesto pizza. There is some other pizzas as well that I will have to definitely go back for. My daughter just had a plain cheese, which she loves. We both had pan pizzas. They do offer original and thin crust. The cashier/ cook/ busboy/ whatever else he needed to be was very efficient. He only had one other person there with him but he kept everything going. The pizzas came out bubbly and piping hot. Surprisingly, I didn't even order extra cheese on the pizza but it was so heavily cheese. I was so grateful that all the toppings were covered and secured in a blanket of mozzarella. My daughter's pizza was cheesy as well. It makes me wanted to think what it would have looked like if I had ordered extra cheese. My only downside was that they only used ranch dipping sauce from hidden valley, which I am not a fan of. Thank goodness the pizza itself had enough sauce that I did not miss not having the ranch. My daughter was fine with the ranch and gobbled it up. She ate an entire individual pizza. I had to play the adult and stop eating after I had already consumed for slices, but still had room to go of a medium pizza. The drive was not too far, for good...
Read moreI ordered a pizza on 12/10/24 on the godfathers website the company chooses to use DoorDash as their delivery option. I texted the delivery driver that it was the wrong order. No response. I call the company and let them know the order is wrong and that I can give the other order back or at least to the resident if it’s in the same building. The order received was two orders of pasta and two orders of monkey bread. I finally get my order and my pizza is cold and soggy. I called the next morning. No answer. I come into the store and explain the issue twice. No manager and what can be offered is a new order or a gift card. I don’t want either because I don’t order here much. Especially since my last order before this one was also not great. Oh apparently you can’t use your points at this location which I tried to do. Had I been able to do that I probably wouldn’t be writing this review.
My disappointment from the experience is that instead of offering to replace the order the same day when I called to let them know it was wrong and was told that the delivery driver picked up the wrong order the MOST this location should have done was replace the pizza then instead of letting a person send out a pizza that’s been sitting there for however long it’s been sitting there.
I didn’t even eat the pasta and monkey bread. If I wanted pasta I would have order from the Italian restaurant around the way and I gave the bread to the leasing office.
I called corporate three times…today being the third time. Didn’t think this location was that pressed about $25 but ok. I’m never ordering from here again but if yall want to order me a pizza from jets I’ll take that since you won’t...
