🤮🤮🤮My recent carry-out order at Hat Creek Burger Company with high hopes of savoring some delicious buffalo wings and a chicken burger. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired.
First and foremost, the buffalo wings I ordered were incredibly dry. It was evident that they had been overcooked, resulting in a disappointing texture. The dryness of the wings made them challenging to enjoy, and it was far from the succulent and flavorful experience I was hoping for.
To make matters worse, the appearance of the chicken wings was less than appetizing. They seemed as if they had been sitting around for a while, and the meat looked unappetizingly old and discolored. Additionally, there was an unpleasant smell emanating from the wings, which immediately raised concerns about their freshness.
The most concerning part of my experience was discovering that the wings had been fried a second time before being served to me. This suggested a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen and a disregard for the quality of the food being served to customers. Re-frying food not only affects its taste but can also make it less healthy.
All in all, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. I couldn't help but compare the quality of the food at Hat Creek Burger Company to that of a fast-food chain like McDonald's. While I'm not usually one to compare, in this case, McDonald's nuggets and burgers seemed far superior in terms of taste and quality.
I hope that Hat Creek Burger Company takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the quality of their dishes. For now, I cannot recommend dining there, especially if you're looking for delicious buffalo wings and chicken burgers.
In addition to the disappointing buffalo wings and chicken burger, I also ordered a side of fries with cheese at Hat Creek Burger Company. Unfortunately, this dish failed to meet even the most basic expectations.
Firstly, the fries were not served hot, which was a major letdown. I believe that a crucial aspect of enjoying fries is their temperature, and in this case, they were lukewarm at best. Cold fries can never match the satisfaction of hot, crispy ones.
Furthermore, the cheese topping on the fries was far from what I anticipated. It had not melted properly, leaving the cheese in a clumpy and unappetizing state. I was expecting a gooey and savory cheese experience, but instead, I was met with a lackluster and...
Read moreWhat a find! This place is seriously awesome. The food is good AND they have a covered playground with a FULLY INCLOSED PLAYGROUND! And they serve adult beverages. 😂This is a dream come true for parents.
Why am I giving it four stars and not 5? Well, while it’s awesome and the overall atmosphere is for sure a 5, it still has room for improvement.
The food was good. I ordered the grilled onion and Swiss chicken sandwich. Delicious! The bun was great, and you can’t go wrong with grilled onions. If it weren’t for the cheese though, it probably would have tasted a bit dry.
Which brings me to the turkey burger my husband ordered. It was dry, dry, dry. I appreciate that it was obviously hand packed, but it was over cooked. Not sure if they need to try a marinade for it or just not over cook it. But while I’d get the chicken again, I would not order the turkey burger. I would even go as far as to suggest management take a trip to Twisted Root where one may find and awesomely juicy turkey burger. 😉
Our girls each had a “Tiny Hat” with cheese. Basically a slightly larger slider. It was the PERFECT size for our 6 and 4 year olds. However, I could see it being too small for older kids. I’d recommend a full burger for 8-10+ depending on their general appetite.
In general though, we really enjoyed ourselves. I could see us going and hanging out for a couple hours on a nice day. My kids could have stayed in the play area all day. There are two TVs on the patio (at least it looks like there were but one may have been stolen 🤔). There were also a couple TVs inside. So while it’s not a sports bar with a tv every few feet, it’s great for adults wanting to keep an eye on a game (not THE game) while everyone eats and plays. It also felt really clean. I hope they are able to maintain its awesomeness.
Families with young children should go here. Like now. lol. It definitely beats driving to The Lot and has...
Read moreThis place is great. From the food, to the shakes, to the atmosphere. The patio is nice to be on as well and they have a play area for the kids. The play area is a decent size. The play area has slides attached to it as well, and big enough an adult can walk up to get their kids if needed without having to scrunch down so much and hurt their selves. The patio is a decent size and it wraps around somewhat to the front doors. The patio is covered all the way around. The have a few tv’s. The tv’s are average size. At the time sports channels were playing on them. It’s a store front location and easy to find. The food was great. The display of the food was good, it was not sloppy or anything. I like their sauce. They have s couple sauces you could try besides the normal condiments. The customer service here is great as well, and that’s from the cashiers to someone who is cleaning up. They kept it clean. The staff is attentive. The food price is average. This place does have a drive thru. The place is a decent size. Could get her on a crowded day because soon as you walk in front door starts the line area to the cashier. That’s also the same way you have to go to the bathrooms. I’m sure they’ll develop a system to get people in, ordered, sat at a table or moved around so the front will not be crowded, and bring food tables or call out for the pick up order. Overall I liked it and I will...
