Went into Mod pizza around 7:30ish. Family of 3 waiting in front my son & I. We stood there for 15 minutes waiting to order our pizzas while 5 employees kept busy. Finally a young man came over but he didn’t acknowledge either of us, instead he had a Uber eats order and started on it. I asked if that internet order was more important than the 5 people standing in front of him to which he snapped Yea- it is. Surprised by his response, I said oh really- and he said my manager said they are more important. I asked to speak with manager- he said manager wasn’t there.
Finally ordered, my pizza & son’s pocket came out completely burnt. I went up & they said they would remake them. Another 20 minutes.. we get our food. It isn’t anywhere as good as it used to be.
Then as we are eating, a woman comes out into the dining area- goes over to the family seated to the left is us and tells them it’s time to go, the dining area closed at 9 so they can clean. Very confused & annoyed, they say ok… then she comes over to me and tells me the same thing. To which I reply… I’ll be sitting here until I’m finished eating. To which she replied, I’ll have you removed if you don’t leave. Now.. it’s 9:04. Their information says they close at 10. As she tells me again we need to leave, I remind her that it took 15 minutes to order, and then you burned my pizza- and she yelled back at me—- I didn’t burn your pizza. It went back & forth getting uglier. I tell her I’ll be calling the manager tomorrow and she says she is the manager. I kindly let her know, she isn’t doing a very job and we will never be back to which she replied “good”.
The family to our left watching all of this, stopped on their way out and said they couldn’t believe she treated everyone like that and they’d never be returning either.
Sad, it used to be good food...
Read moreWe used to LOVE Mod Pizza, my absolute favourite! Unfortunately over the past year the service has gotten terrible which has also reflected in their food. The last straw came when they mistakenly made my pizza wrong, it happens, no biggie, it wasn’t a gluten-free crust, but the ensuing interaction that followed was terrible. We took it back & let them know, & that’s where it all went sour. They insisted they had made it correctly & we had ordered it wrong, it was an app order & you could clearly see they had made it wrong. One employee started to goad my husband, laughing at him & just being a jerk. They made the pizza wrong again, so I called them as now my husband is now frustrated. The employee on the phone was the same guy, unfortunately & recognised us & just kept repeating himself that we were “wrong” & he was “right” . Eventually the “manager” came on the line, she was pleasant & apologetic, we explained what happened & you could hear the guy chipping in his 2c in the background. She told us that she was personally going to make the pizza herself, & that we shouldn’t complain to the local manager as he “wasn’t any good” & “nothing would happen” but to go above him to the regional manager to lodge a formal complaint. That she would personally make sure that they would call us the following week, of which we never heard from them. Anyway we picked up the 3rd pizza, technically it’s “correct”. However, on the box an employee had written slang on it, & after looking it up, it’s too nasty to put on here. The pizza had what looked like a can of cold pineapple dumped on it, & ultimately, the crust wasn’t gluten free as I was sick to my stomach later. Honestly, the whole experience was just awful....

Called and apparently they changed their hours. They don't open until 12PM. Just in case anyone was wondering since the hours on google don't get updated. I'm really sad to write this review because my family LOVES this place, but the last handful of visits have been a disaster. I honestly don't blame the kids who are running the operation because that's what they are: kids. WHERE IS THE MANAGER????? There used to be an actual full blown adult, on the floor, managing the place when this location started to make sure everything ran efficiently. Now? Nope! These poor kids are running around like chickens with their heads cut off as if they had no training. The pizzas are burnt to a crisp, like charred. I saw a door dash order just sitting on the cou ter for 40 minutes without being put in a box while the door dash guy waited to be called yesterday. I waited on my order for 40 minutes and when I got home I found out my daughter's pizza was actually just someone else's charred return that the kid slapped our receipt on top of the box so he wouldn't have to remake a pizza for to save time. Ridiculous. The pizza was hard as a rock. There were toppings missing and it wasn't even busy so that couldn't be used as an excuse either. I could go on. Again, my family used to love this place, but something...
