My reviews are mixed because of several things. First the service. It was fairly slow. The restaurant was only about half full and there appeared to be 4 servers, enough to cover the place. Took too long just to get drink order in and once done it took a while to get everything, which came in 3 waves. Kids drinks, then adult Pepsi’s, then finally the coffee. Placed our food order and it took longer than usual to come out. When it finally did everyone’s was hot and well prepared except for mine. Since I’m the one writing the review I get to give the stars for mostly my food. I ordered poached eggs with sourdough toast and sausage with home fries . The toast snd sausages were very good. I never got my homefries and the eggs were horrible. Instead of poached eggs I got hard boiled eggs. When my waiter came back I showed him and informed him of the mistake. I was never offered 2 new eggs or to have a correction made on my bill for the mistake. Both the waiter and manager told me they would make sure the cooks was informed of the mistake. That’s all well snd good for the next customer who orders poached eggs but didn’t help me at all. To have such a glaring mistake pointed out to the manager and to offer nothing in the way of sorry is totally unacceptable. It is no way to run a restaurant. I’m not from the area but am a little familiar with it and while it’s been there a long time in a great location in the middle of town it’s no excuse for the service, food and lack of correction for what I...
Read moreWe went to have dinner for my grandmothers 95th birthday and it seems like nothing went right. We have been coming here for years and years. This was probably the last time my family goes here. My meal wasn’t good and I ended up telling the waitress who kindly let me get something to replace it. We got a bunch of soda water instead of the sprite my son ordered. That was the start. My kids food never came- a simple kids cheeseburger and the quesadilla appetizer. We waited and finally asked and they said they forgot it. We waited longer. A different witness came to figure out more information on the quesadilla. We waited longer. The kids were so hungry so I gave them my meal. We also had our 11 month old son with us who needed to get home to bed soon. We asked for the manager who seemed like she could care less. She said “well we can’t go back in time to fix it”. Which yeah- clearly we can’t. But it felt like we were really treated like we were the problem at this point. The kids food came about 30 min after we got our food. It was so crazy. They barely apologized and that was really what upset me most. They took the kids food and drinks off the bill thank goodness. It really was a bad time and honestly if they had even tried to care a little I’m sure I wouldn’t be writing this review right now. Learn better...
Read moreSo while you tell me that there's some people who come only for the blackened chicken bow ties... I have a feeling there's a larger contingent of people who try the dish and just never come back. At the end of the day... I wasn't charged for the overly spicy dinner. I was warned when I ordered that there was a kick. There was no kick here...just burn...no flavor only burn.
Rewind to when we walked in... the host suggested we sit in the bar or outside as it was quieter. When we sat in the dining room instead we regretted that decision.
Rewind to when we walked up to this really cute exterior. Or was driving by weeks prior and added it to our list of places to try...
The interior decor with fake forthysia, Christmas lights and fake sparrows on the branches... dated, dusty, and lame. Her Mac n Cheese was fine. Runny. Needed seasoning. The Parmesan tater tots really were dying for love...some coarse sea salt, some more Parmesan, and maybe a creative aoli.
Needs work.
Chef needs to go back to the drawing board on the blackened chicken. It's all heat. I guess what the theme of this review is, is that Noon Hill is lacking love. Needs to invest in itself. Totally inviting from the outside...once in... wishing we made a...
