Cara and Chicken Salad! Superstars! Cara our waitress was exceptional! We never wanted for anything. She gave us many tips about the menu, since this was our first time there. We appreciated her so much! What a great waitress! And so friendly! We loved her! Now to the food. My friend got Hawaiian Nachos. The nacho chips tasted stale, and the shredded chicken was drenched in barbecue sauce even though we asked for light sauce. It is absolutely unappetizing to look at. It just looked bad. The chicken had an odd color and looked canned. We left 3/4s of it. It doesn't have a good look. It needed less chicken and more mango salsa. Now, I was torn between the chicken salad and the pork roll sandwich so I asked for a taste of the chicken salad because I'm very particular about how my chicken salad is made. The chicken salad was delicious! I am so picky about chicken salad. It has tiny cucumbers in it, poppy seeds, onion and some mayo, and it was absolutely delicious. I will be back for that! We came for dinner so I wanted something hot. So I ended up ordering the pork roll and cheese sandwich and decided we would come back for lunch and order the chicken salad then. I ordered the pork roll well done with fried onions. When I got it the pork roll was not cooked well done, and there were no fried onions on top. So it had to be sent back. Cara put it down, but the chef did not follow her orders. But when it was finally done correctly, I really enjoyed it. There is an upcharge for onion rings, but that's what I wanted. And they were crispy and very good! Not really sure about the food, but we are going to give it another try because Cara really was the bright spot in our meal. She is really an excellent representation of what an owner would want for their business. You need 10 Caras! We will be back to try other items on the menu and give it a second chance! Eh, I’ll start off with service is hit or miss. The first time I came I had a waitress in her early to mid 50s named Mary I think? Brown hair, very frown-filled and unpleasant. She didn’t really check on our table much. Kinda gave off a “woe is me” teenager attitude. She gave my friend attitude when my friend said that there were fruit flies in her marg, as if my friend just supposed to pick them out and continue drinking the drink. “So what, do you want them to make another one orrr..?”…There were 3-4 fruit flies floating on the top of the drink, it’s hard to believe that the bartender didn’t see them in there. Drink prices aren’t too bad, but they aren’t very strong either. The fish tacos were atrocious. Dry and bland flour tortillas, with a fishy frozen-tasting filet sliced into thin strips. There was one tiny lil sliver of fishy frozen filet on each taco…for I believe $16 or $17!? I mean, some will say I should have known better than to order fish tacos at a small town bar but sometimes it’s things like that on a bar menu that hit; unfortunately that was not the case here. The second time I came I had a server named Vince, and he was excellent. Very upbeat, positive attitude, and checked on our table at the right times. The wings with hot and honey sauce, were pretty good. You really gotta just stick to a few things on the menu that are hard to mess up like: pizza, wings, that type of bar food. Staff is more concerned about chit chatting, hiding in kitchen and playing on cellphones. Horrible service my last few visits. Last night 3/4/22 800pm was my last time I ever step foot in here. After being seated. It took approximately 8 minutes and me letting hostess know that no one has even taken our order. So she gets a waiters attention. He comes over takes our drink order .I put in for our drinks and crock of soups. Now 15 minutes goes by.. no sign of our waiter.i go back over to hostess stand, let them know we want to place our dinner order. She goes in the back near kitchen, gets waiter. I see him pop out immediately, they hide behind the wall. We clearly see them all back there chit chatting and playing on cellphones. We place our order, someone else brings our food to the table. Now a good time passes, I haven't seen waiter in atleast 15 minutes . Finally he pops his head out behind there hiding spot, notices us looking back there because our drinks are empty and we needed another round. He gets our drinks. Now 20 minutes pass were just getting frustrated Now and just want our check. My wife has to go to hostess stand and ask for our check.
