Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Medford Township

The service here is always great, but tonight I had a weird issue where I originally ordered a large drink with my meal and sides. I pulled around to the window they told me the total and swiped my card, but after swiping my card and completing the transaction the lady working the window asked me what my drink was, and I told her it was a large coke, and she said, “ oh it’s large” while slowly shutting the window looking back at her coworker. Then she reopens the window and hand me everything, but when I looked in the bag I had two receipts. One for my meal and then one for chocolate chip cookie, which I didn’t order. So I went to try to go inside since I used drive thru and there was a line, but the doors were locked. So I drove back around, and told the lady manning the drive thru I was charged for something I didn’t order. She told me I needed to be up charged since they didn’t hear me correctly to match the price, which I get, but they had two separate transaction and didn’t notify me they were doing so. I would have been okay with it if they don’t me they were going to charge me for a small balancing transaction but they didn’t. Just think they should have communicated that to me at the window rather than just placing two receipts in my bag. I also didn’t understand the upcharge because they told me it was 70 cents up charge, but on their menu the price between a medium and large drink is a 20 cent difference so I think there was an issue here as well. I just stopped at a local Popeyes in my area to get some chicken and some sides. When I looked at the menu board they had an eight-piece chicken meal with one large side and four biscuits for $30 and change. If I just wanted the chicken it was 1999 for eight pieces. I don't know if people know this but I can go to my local Acme and get an eight pieces of chicken for $7 and a large container of potato salad and still come out with $12 change compared to the $30 I'm being charged at Popeyes. And the chicken actually taste just as good if not better. On top of the fact that the meal with just the eight pieces of chicken for $19.99 would indicate that four biscuits and a large mashed potatoes and gravy would be $10 to equal the $30 that they were charging for the whole meal it literally has about one potato if there's any potatoes in it and some gravy with four biscuits for $10 is thievery. I don't know who's evaluating your prices and I'm not saying you're the only one because every fast food place that I go to is way overpriced and you can usually feed a family of four for the same price if you just go to the store and probably come home with change still. This is not a reflection on most of the employees as we have always had great service here. Today however, the manager on duty was very rude regarding a drink error. She continued to close the window on me when I spoke. When I said the drink change I needed wasn't a big deal she stated "it is a big deal, we have to throw it away" First of all, I was basically saying it was no problem for me to have to wait for the switch. She misunderstood what I was saying, all while being rude and dismissive. We cancelled the order and requested a refund. It was done and then as I tried to explain this was my first bad experience here she then closes the window on me again. I did not raise my voice or even go inside.
