Johnny Malloy's Irish Sports Pub — Restaurant in Medina

Ate there for the first time today. Sat on the patio as it was beautiful out tonight. Waitress come out and took our drink orders and they come out quick. Didn't see her for the next 20 to 25 minutes. I would understand this if they were busy, but they had 4 tables and 2 people at the bar. Finally our waitress come for our order and she was not very friendly and the order was was rushed. My wife put her order in first and the waitress asked anything else, as 4 other people were sitting at our table. The food took 35 minutes to come out and we had to ask for the appetizer and additional side with an order. Then had to ask for sauce for the food and that seemed like a super inconvenience for our waitress, she was always asking is that all anything else. Just the entire experience was bad from a service experience and the food was not very good and when I got the 106 dollar bill all I could think was WOW!!!! To top the evening off my wife says i would have rather ate McDonald's and trust me she hates that place.

I really, REALLY hate leaving reviews like this because I love living in Medina and this place is a local Browns Backers Sports Bar. Heres the breakdown as OBJECTIVE as possible.

The website details $9.99 burgers and thats what brought me in today. I show up to $12.75 burgers on the menu. I don't need to explain further why this is an issue but its dishonest.

Ordered a BBQ Burger and add cheddar cheese, sunrise burger, and potato skins side of BBQ. Sunrise came in as ordered, BBQ burger missing the cheddar and no side of BBQ for the skins. I informed the barmaid to make sure I wasn't billed for the two extras I requested and never got. 0 and 2 on special requests lol.

The food was good so I give credit there but this place felt the opposite of what a hometown pub should feel like. Just another bill going into their register.

This review really pains me. Im not saying I won't come back because I probably will at some point and I will update the review if the experience changes. Also I will change this review when they are honest...

We just had a family gathering at Johnny Malloys March 23, 2024. There were 22 of us all together. I called a week ahead to give Johnny Malloys a heads up and requested the regular low tables since my Mom is 87 years young. My husband and I arrived at 2:50. The tables were set up with place settings and menus. We were greeted by Carla, our server. She did an amazing job getting our drinks, putting in our appetizer orders and placing our food orders. Carla was awesome. Our food was amazing. It came out all hot and fresh even though the restaurant was crowded at the time. Very impressed. The ribs and grilled chicken, nachos, quesadillas, wings, pierogies were all delicious. I cannot remember all the food orders. I just know my family was very pleased with everything. We will do this again as a family get together and, of course, just visiting Johnny Malloys on a regular night out.
