If it wasn't for the food, I wouldn't come here. I would never bring out of towner here. This place is truly lost in the 80's. I. Counted 5 bulbs not working. The booths are so worn you can see the insides. The waitress try to clean but there is little you can do to improve that. The decor is horrid. You can tell ownership changed and it's not Greek anymore. When it Greek, you know it's Greek. The bathrooms were disgusting. Only one bulb worked in there and it wasn't above the toilet. Maybe that's a good thing? There was no toilet paper on wall and only found out after sitting. Because no light. So I had to do the poopie shuffle walk in hopes I would find the rescue toilet paper under the sink. Not easy when toilet seat is broken. Only one roll left. The owner ( Manger) was as unfriendly as ryou can get. While paying he kept swinging around towards himself to check for tip. Grumbled when there wasn't one. We all know what that means. We took care of our waitress with cash.

In my opinion, there are not enough legitimate diners in the greater Melbourne area. Thankfully, Apollo Diner has been a staple locally for decades, situated on Hibiscus east of the mall. It's a Greek diner specializing in all day breakfast, sandwiches, and classic Greek dishes. I recently had lunch at Apollo Diner with my wife and I decided to try something new called pasticcio. It caught my eye as something I had never heard of before. I looked it up and it was described as "Greek lasagna". Sounds good to me! I ordered it, and I'm so glad I did. Holy cow is this good!!! When you see it on the plate you really do think immediately of lasagna, but upon closer inspection, it's more like baked ziti on top of shepherds pie. On top is a thick layer of ricotta-like cheese (but it's not ricotta) with a custard-like consistency. I can't wait to go back and try it again! Service was fantastic and the place was clean. Best of all, the prices are very reasonable! Highly recommended for any meal!

I have my own diner at home that I go to all the time, but when on travel I like to find a similar local, family run place to eat. This is it. The people are great, lots of options on the menu, special requests are never a problem, the price is great. What's not to love. We hit this place EVERY DAY on our last trip. And this is the second time we've been in town and go here every time. Shout out to the Stuffed French toast!! Wow. I did get it with oatmeal, so it would be healthy don't worry. 🤣 The Popeye omelet was good and the baklava is fantastic. Oh yeah, you have to check out the rotating array of baked goodies too. Grab one at breakfast so you have a snack during those long boring meetings. I wish I had taken pictures, but the food and conversation was so good I forgot. Maybe next time. Confession, I told my diner at home they had to make me the stuffed French toast when I got home. They are working on it but not yet as good.

I have never given a low review of a restaurant like I am today. The last time I was there I said I'll never eat there again. Now, I'm saying it this time and leaving a review. The staff there is pretty good but they need to check the bills they hand out before they slap them down on the table to have you pay. Mine had 2 areas where they overcharged me and when I went to pay, I told the owner who collects the money. She adjusted it and apologized. She never asked me how my food was, she was talking and laughing with her friend who was behind me. I started to tell her and she ignored me so I just paid my bill and left. Maybe you'll read it here if you care. The turkey sausage was thin as paper and burnt to a crisp. The toast was burnt badly too. My wife's breakfast had to be remade. In her omlette she specifically said no onions and green peppers. She cannot eat them. Both our breakfasts came out on separate plates and not all at once. I want to mention they do not use real butter. They use this fake grease they say it is butter. Well, I beg to differ with you. It made me very sick and I'm still in terrible stomach pain today as I am trying out this review. Beware, if your stomach is bad, that fake stuff will kill you. I will never eat anything else at your restaurant. Oh, one other thing the waitress said to me, she was sorry but there was a new cook in the back. The other owner was sitting with his buddies in the next booth laughing and carrying on. He should have been in the back helping...

I have been to this place 3 times before and all those times were great! Food was great, service was okay. I went here today and I don't know if there is new management or just new employees because there were new faces. I called in my order over the phone and the girl who answered told me she was new. Then as I was placing my order she seemed more interested in laughing with her co-worker then taking my order. I finished the order with the rude new employee and went to pick it up. As I was paying she asked me if I wanted to tip her....which I'm not going to do for a PICK up order. You haven't done anything to EARN a tip. I tell her no. She asked me to sign the receipt. As I sign, I ask her for ketchup packets and she goes to get some for me and comes back with a handful and says..."I know how important ketchup is to you so I grabbed a lot." How does she know how important ketchup is to me? (I wonder)....So I take the food and go back to work. Get to work and the food is HORRIBLY undercooked. Potato salad looks like it was made/mixed with cottage cheese. And the order is missing the veggies. So I call and ask for a make-up order...go get the make up order the there is a different girl (Light brown girl WHO WAS BEAUTIFUL NOW THAT I'M NOT MAD...should of asked for her number)there who's customer service is at least better than that new girl. Grab the remake...come back to work...only to find alittle bit of hair in the food. ..........I used to love this place. They lost a...

More like the appalling diner…😖I took my friend from out of town, months ago, for us to grab breakfast there to eat out on the beach, and I really wish we had gotten to eat more of it than the birds did! My friends sandwich was wrong, but at least tasted good, the menu wasn’t clear at all what I was getting so the Greek eggs Benedict I thought I was getting wasn’t anything I expected, the homefries were TERRIBLE, and inedible. When I called, right away, to kindly tell them the sandwich was wrong and the homefries were inedible and clarify what the Greek eggs Benedict was, I was told that their homefries are the best and no one ever complains about them, and that if it was wrong why didn’t I say so there??? I told them we didn’t realize until we were on the beach and as soon as we realized we called, that’s what this call was. I asked if we could just try the order again another day and was reluctantly told that I could get the sandwich only another day if I so wished. I said yes, but I was so thrown off by the lack of care or kindness in their response that I have zero desire to return, and will just take the loss and learn the lesson. I was trying to go somewhere local, to support local business instead of first watch or something. But it really bit me in the ass this time and it’s really sad the restaurant doesn’t feel the need to satisfy its customers more, esp when they are bringing out of towners, and word of mouth is...
