We love Mexican food, however, we tried this place because it offered ceviche on its menu. I ordered chimichanga and ùpgraded to the premium steak for $2 more. It was served with rice, lettuce, etc. I had to order refried bean on the side. The chimichanga and beans tasted like they used salt as the main ingredient. Chimichanga is my favorite and never had one that was so salty and lack authentic Mexican favors. She had Ceviche meal and ordered a taco meal, so we would have left overs. We took it to go, and never have issues with good take out food, so that wasn't the issue. She loves Ceviche and she experienced the same overall dissatisfaction as I. The atmosphere looked great, the employees were nice and well dressed but we went there for great food, not sub-par food. We live here, we are not ignorant tourist. My career has been in FoodService, so my opinion is not void of discernment. $8 tip and $55 check for take out, no wait service so we aren't rude or disrespectful. I know this, unlike awesome Mexican food we bring home, there are leftovers and the garbage will receive them. Our dogs won't get them, it's bad enough I ate mine, which was not wise to eat any of it. I should have thrown my plate away and made a hot dog.
I don't believe this is a one-off experience. Only thing I can figure is msg is being used to enhance inferior flavor that the meat lacks and the chef, if there be an actual one running the kitchen, lacks skill in creating authentic Mexican food. I am not pleased at all because for $55, for what we ordered, should have been awesome. She asked if I tried the salsa, I told her I did not. She said it was odd. I did try a piece of the taco meat and could figure out before I had it swallowed if the chicken was fully cooked. She said "don't give the dogs any of it" I replied "I am not going to insult our dogs". A call to the GM requesting a full refund is in order. Usually if they is a discrepancy I would call and that would end the matter-not a bad review. However, they are well deserving of thihonest review and if they don't refund the money, whatever, we can absorb the financial loss. They chose to serve this food thinking it was ok but when one feels like each bite has a spoonful of salt in it, someone needs to regroup and get better taste tester prior to serving to the public. Had we dined in, we would have left the food on the table and refused to pay and tipped...
Read moreMy wife and I have been coming here for several years now. Normally I have only good things to say about Fiesta Azul. This last time was not so great. We often have family from out of town stay with us and this restaurant has been a staple. On December 26th we had a table of 14 people. Food, drinks, appetizers. And even desert. A large ticket by their standard I’m sure. Anyways the service got worse and worse as the night went on. Initially it was great. But then, Food came out wrong.. one meal had been prepared ingredients that were requested off of it, some glasses were dirty, one meal was not even ordered, and when desert came the did not bring enough cutlery for the table. When I asked a waitress walking by for more spoons.. she responded with “ you have to wait for your waitress “ I don’t particularly understand why it’s a problem to grab some spoons or say I’ll have the server bring you some. Now… the reason I’m leaving the review is this.. during the 2 hours and hundreds of dollars spent here this evening the plates were never removed from the table. When desert came my wife ended up taking a vast majority of the plates and put them on the table adjacent to us… this really burns me up the manager even walked by, saw all the plates and kept walking… didn’t say a word. No how was your meal or thank you for coming in.. nothing. I’ve been bringing friends and family here for years. And this was the worst service experience we’ve ever had at Fiesta Azul. The food mistakes are whatever it’s a big table lots of orders a couple mixups no big deal. But the declining service quality is wild it was like night and day. I actually felt bad for the waitress but on the other hand my wife should not be bussing our table! I felt like our waitress had no support. The leadership is to blame here. I’m not sure what has changed in the past few months but it’s not good. Hopefully they get...
Read moreOk, So these Posted Reviews Absolutely Tell Everything About How "Reviews" Are Posted, Collected & Obviously Never Posted IF They're Negative. I've Written a Review About this Restaurant Several times & The Last 2 Never Appeared, Know Y? They Were NOT Positive But, They Were Honest Reviews. So, Let's See IF This 1 Makes it. My Husband Went Last Night with 15 People, Thankfully I Was Busy & Did Not Go. But, I Heard about the "Experience" From Him & 2 Of His Friends. All SOS. Service & Food Both, Horrible. So, With Me it's More than 3 Visits Now Personally & I Did Complain About How Much The "Service & the Food Quality" have Changed Since Going there During Covid, Which Actually it Was Better Then, Not Now. One of Our Friends Ordered a Burrito. He Was Actually Served the Burrito He Was Supposed to "Make" Himself. My Husband & 1 of the Friends Didn't Get Their Meals Again, Until Everyone Else Was Done with Theirs. This Has Happened to Me Personally here the Last Few Times. I thought Maybe it Was Just Me. Apparently Not, Since I Wasn't there Last Night, Instead Others Were As Disgusted as I've been in the Past. I Wrote about the Cinco De Mayo Night. That Never Was Posted Either. We had that Night At Least 16 Again & It Was Another Fiasco. So, Be Aware People, You're Not Seeing the Negative Reviews So You Could Make an Informed Choice About the Quality & Service & Whether or Not You're Getting Your Monies Worth. Now More than Ever, This Should be Very Important to those Who Must Pay For Their Own Food & Everything Else. Problem? Too Many DON'T. They Get "Theirs" Paid for By US. So it's NOT that Important To Them Whether Or Not They Are Getting What They're NOT Paying for. Well, It IS to Those of US Who DO Pay...
