First I waited about 15 minutes at the drive thru menu before I was helped and normally this wouldn't bother me because I understand that they're busy and unlike others I know I'm not the only customer waiting BUUUTTT there was absolutely no one there. No one ahead of me no one after me, no one pulled up waiting for their food, and no one in the parking lot at other menus or on the patio. I still gave the benefit of the doubt because I know the offer delivery so maybe they had a lot of orders they were prepping. I waited patiently and finally a very nice young man took my order. I got to the window and completed my transaction and waited. Waited and waited. All I could here was the Jeopardy timer song in my head over and over again. That song lasted a good 20 minutes and then I received my food. I still was ok, a little irritated but ok because now there were about 8 cars behind me and I could only imagine how long they were going to be waiting. I only ordered 2 hamburgers fries tots and a drink. Nothing huge to warrant the wait. I get back to where I was and started to eat..... I was less than 10 minutes away from Sonic. My food was cold and old. The hamburger meat or whatever it was, was black, hard, dry, and extremely old. It was burned and old that upon taking a bite the inside was like an ashy white color. Read more¶ This used to be a great place when it had decent management. Not anymore. Sonic now has a district manager who cares only about raking in money, not in using some of that money to improve the facilities, which are dilapidated, and several of the "new" order boards have ceased functioning. ¶ There was a time when I knew almost everyone who worked here. Now, other than the evening shift supervisor, I don't know anyone. Turnover at this store is very high, approaching 95%; no one stays there for more than a month, if that. The store manager rarely interacts with her customers and thinks little of them, or her employees. The food is still good (it had better be!!) but my orders are often incorrect unless the shift super serves me. ¶ In short, this Sonic is a mere shadow of its former self. No one cares about their work, and customer skills are sorely lacking. As a regular customer of this particular store for almost 10 years, I can say this with some authority. This Sonic store was once a stellar place, with employees who enjoyed working there -- but not any longer. It was busy Lot of people in front of me. With my order Why they would put the 2 hotdogs with toppings the first thing in the tiny bag first because all of the toppings ended up all over the bottom of this tiny bag.If that wasn't bad enough. My cheeseburger second bite into it and I kid you not and very gross and disgusting first I thought it was a very old onion that I bit into. No Worse A PLASTIC TIE. that is usually found tied up around bread. PLASTIC TIE was in my cheeseburger. Spit food out immediately. Was so disgusted threw out entire food.
