Pizza Rolls truly a Detroit thing invented for the Auto Worker's, that's a story for another day I know the history. Many don't know Jack's started in Taylor before moving to Melvindale. So 44 Year's going strong since 1978 a true Downriver Classic. Nestled in a small building with a green awning on Allen Rd. is a family-run bakery with a passionate following. It's called Jack's Italian Bakery, now operation run by Jack's son doing a great job. Always a group of Friendly helpful ladies and super great prices. The Pepperoni Roll with Cheese my Addiction that you must try one, they warm it for you. Just one is a full delicious meal for me it's huge. So get this a Roll, Big 24 oz Pepsi n Walnut Dessert Bar only $ 9.75 out the door OMG. Cheaper than a fast food combo and the Pepperoni is heavily packed inside with Cheese. Sure everyone has a favorite spot, been to them all. My favorite and your loss if you decide not to try. #jacksitalianbakery @jacksitalianbakery #youdontknowjack #pepperonirolls #pepperonincheese #itailianbakery #melvindale #downriverfriendseat...
Read moreI am basing this on their Customer Service. I use to live blocks away from this place. The Pepperoni Rolls were delicious and have always been delicious. I have since moved and wanted to take them back to my family because they are delicious. So, I ordered 13 total rolls. This guy comes from the back and very rudely says we normally have a 10 per person limit. I explained the situation and said I can call in advance next time. I was there with two other people in my party. So, if 10 per person that would put us at 30 rolls. Be glad that you are getting the business based on the reputation because rude customer service like this is very off putting to the customers. I have been going to the same place for over 30 years. Their selection does not match what was offered before Jack passed. Bakery cases were almost empty. One would think they would be happy to get the business but I guess that guy didn't...
Read moreI have been going to Jack's for years. Disappointed on the most recent trip. The pepperoni rolls have been getting smaller since Jack has been gone. Got a bunch of pepperoni rolls for all the Jacks Bakery lovers up north. Noticed the rolls are larger with more pepperoni and more cheese . Nice to see they're back. Still the best...
