Took my parents here after hearing great reviews from friends. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because tea is phenomenal and the gyro meat is very good.

The felafel was AWFUL. It was dry, crumbly, and clearly was not made fresh. Ironically the server had just given us a sphiel on how the felafel is made fresh to order, the reason being why it was only served as a wrap??

I went here with my family (four in total) for my birthday dinner. We came right at 6pm, which is when the dining room closes. We didn't realize until we walked in, but they were very nice and let us have dinner (sorry if we were a bother!) The food was very good: I got the falafel steamed pita, I really enjoyed it and it tasted fresh. Really the only complaint about the food I have was the spicy humus was just regular humus with jalapeños and salsa on top. Though I would like to point out that the soda (Coke & Diet) was very flat and watery, and just not enjoyable at all. Other than that, everyone enjoyed the food. However, it was very expensive at $97 (w/ tip) for just 4 people, and my mom only got an appetizer of pita and humus. The waitress was very nice, and no one else was there so it was quiet since there aren't any tv's, though for a place with this type of environment it's not a big deal. If we could do portions of stars, I'd give Cafe Med a...

We paid our first visit to Cafe Med tonight. They have no eat-in evening dining (in-eat available at lunch) right now (July 2022), so we took home a sumptuous dinner: a chicken special served with rice and whipped garlic spread; a Yanni pita sandwich with baba ganoush and tabouli; an olive and feta dip that came with toasted pita triangles; and lastly, an all pistachio (no walnuts) baklava. For beverages, we tried their lovely herbal ice tea that has a cinnamon taste to it.

We arrived home with this feast of flavors, seasonings, and spices—everything was delectable. This is the best food we have had in Memphis in the last three months since we moved here. Did the mention the generous portions? We hope to return and work our way down the menu.

I highly recommend this restaurant. There is free off street parking out front. The Cafe is located in the corner of...

BEST GYROS - GREEK MEDITERRANEAN FOOD: love this place; locally owned! This is my favorite place to come for a cozy quick meal away from all the hustle and bustle! The family here is so kind and inviting to their guest and truly make you feel like VIPs 😀; love their Spartan Gyro, love the engagement with the family and it is conveniently located. I was introduced this location some years ago by a prior manager (our lunch spot) and haven't stopped coming since then. stop in and say hello; but stay for the food!!! Stopped in to visit my old friends and to grab a bite to eat after spending the day helping the good folks from AARP with tax prep and BJ Hooks Library. Stop in and enjoy the familiar atmosphere, friendly and casual environment with a touch of kindness from the heart. 😎

The owners and staff are caring people about what and how the food is served and all customers Also, they remember their regular customers even if you have not been there in awhile. One of their excellent cooks remembered me. They have the best Bella Donna Salad with Greek dressing, wonderfully seasoned and warming Lentil soup, jolting Turkish coffee, and lovely Baklava. The atmosphere on 1718 Kirby Parkway at Poplar is a relaxing place to visit using free Wi-Fi. I have used Chef Shuttle to have Cafe Med food delivered to my door.

A hidden gem in East Memphis! I've lived in the area since 2004 and (sadly) never stopped in until now. Had the Gyro Panino and it was fantastic! Service was great, with the owner stopping by to introduce himself and see how we were enjoying our meal. Their prices are very reasonable, as you can see from photos of their menu. Desert was the baklava, which was the best I've had. We're both looking forward to enjoying the rest of the menu on future visits!
