Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Memphis

Not normally a person to leave reviews but after this experience I felt inclined to. I ordered a smoothie and wrap through the tropical smoothie app, upon delivery my driver only had the smoothie. (The driver didn’t speak English so asking him to go back didn’t work). I reached out to the store and shared what happened and they told me I had to drive to pick up the rest of the order - I let them know I didn’t have a car therefore I couldn’t do that. I asked for a refund and they said they couldn’t do that and I had to raise a ticket through the app (which I’ve done twice and received no response). Finally, Someone who identified themselves as a manager, said they would refund the $22 for the smoothie and wrap and I could reorder my food - therefore, breaking even. I thanked him and agreed to this. Fast forward a week and I have no refund. I called and they said to wait a few days. I called 2 days later and they said they would call me back. I called again the next day and a woman informs me there’s not been a manager at that location for 3 months and all I can do is raise a ticket. I informed her that I had multiple times and she said there was nothing she could do for me. I’ve now spent nearly $50 on a smoothie and a veg wrap, have been lied to, hung up on and had the phone passed from person to person when I call… and all I want is a refund. Awful, awful, awful...

It was amazing for my first time going. They only have one cup size which makes it a little more costly than smoothie King 20 oz but it was well worth it. I must say when I walked in I thought it would be on the level of smoothie King but it was totally the opposite. I will never go back to smoothie King. They have truly the real deal smoothies. When I tell you I ordered the smoothie with veggies and fruits in it and it literally was just the frozen vegetables no added sugars no added minerals taste just like putting it in the blender I was shocked. At this point I'm convinced smoothie King got more sugar in it than what they say. To top it off I then ordered a Caesar salad because they have food too and it was delicious. The people were great had no attitudes and were quick. My hubby ordered the Buffalo wrap and it was amazing. Those low carb meals and selections are so good and I can't wait to go back. If I could get zero star rating I would. First AND last time I ever go to this location! Long story short, we placed an online order at work. It was under a different name (I didn’t know). Paid for the order before they found the other. I understand we are all human, but they kept BLAMING me because I didn’t get the name right! I ended up paying two of THE SAME order and walked out with ONE! The customer service alone was HORRIBLE. Argued about a simple miscommunication. None of them were welcoming or cared to be there. All of the employees had a distasteful attitude! Place wasn’t clean and I lost money. The manager wasn’t far from pleasant either. Never once tried to resolve the problem.
