Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Memphis

01/19/2025 around 4:30. Now I got to always check my food before I leave I don’t do it to not offend anyone serving me. I ordered a 12 pc meal for my family of 6. I came home not too far from this summer ave location and when I start to serve my family I noticed there was 8 pc. I told my dad and we drive up there. I told the lady who charged us and she went to go tell the other lady who served us the chicken. She was claiming we took the other 4 pcs out. And then came to us saying that she gave us a full box. And I told her no. Then she went to the back to the office to talk to the other manager I’m guessing they were doing shift change. Now why would I take out 4 pieces of chicken out and then go back to get another 4??? I don’t got the time for that. I don’t think anyone has the time for that. Gas is expensive these days too! And I would just never do that. If they think we took the chicken out then okay. But I know God knows I didn’t. And I’m not that of a big back lol. Anyways shift change gave me the 4 pieces of chicken. So I appreciate them. Anyways Always check your food even if it offends someone or they give you a face of “I gave you your dang food.” That better then being accused of taking...

This location needs to get their act together big time (Summer Ave near Hollywood st). Went to get the new garlic shrimp meal (was looking forward to it). Ordered our food, got to the window, paid and waited 5 minutes at the window before being told to park and they would bring it out. I could deal with that for fresh cooked food but waited an additional 15 minutes with no food brought out so went into the restaurant to figure out what was taking so long...once I got in their no one seemed to know what was going on! (it wasn't that busy either but many workers present) Finally another 5 or so minutes passes and I'm told that they were out of the coleslaw that comes with the meal... I would have ordered another side if they would have told me that in the first place. I asked for a refund because I was over them by then and it took another 10 minutes before a manager even appeared to issue it. No one offered to try to make it better by giving a different side or anything. I WILL not be going to this location again and if you value your time I suggest you...

Second time visiting this one on Summer Ave. The 1st time it was 40 minutes before closing and the staff heard us at the drive thru and never answered. When we pulled to the window a guy came to the window and told us to drive back around. We were the only ones there. We drove back around no one answered and they just laughed when we pulled back up at the window. This happened at night. Went back a couple of weeks later not thinking this was the same location. Realized it after setting at drive thru 10 min, no response. We pulled up after waiting another 3 minutes thinking speaker didn't work. Get to window a lady was there never addressed us at all but kept looking back to see if we were still there. Finally the guy who was cooking came and took our order. (Who ever owns this place needs a whole new staff). I love me some Churches Chicken, But the Summer Ave location. Run...
