Dixie Queen — Restaurant in Memphis

First time there.. Ordered 2 double cheeseburger combos with everything and upsized mine to large. We get to the window, pay, and I'm looking at the receipt while we wait for our food. While looking at the receipt, it shows small (when the combo is medium), no onions when we said with everything, and 2 small fries. When she hands me our drinks, I tell her about my concerns with the validity of our order and she just looks at me. Moments later she hands me our food and as I'm checking the order, there is two small fries in there and one of the burgers didn't even have cheese on it!!. I hand the bag back and tell the lady that is not what we ordered. She opens the bag, puts her hand in there(with no gloves mind you) and then coughed into the same hand she had in our bag. At that moment, told her I wanted to speak to the manager and I didn't want her handing me ANYTHING ELSE. Manager was rude when I asked for my money and her response was "you're holding up the line sir". I'm frustrated at this point and tell the lady to just refund my f* money. Don't know if I went on a bad day (12 Feb 2021) or they're just jacked up on a daily basis. Never, ever, ever, going back there. If you're reading this and you don't heed the warning, you too will be upset and disappointed. I'm speaking on the Dixie on Austin Peauy; don't know about the other ones...either way, I'm never going back. If I could give this location negative 10...

5 stars for my experience but I will no longer support until changes are made. I've always visited 3 Dixie Queens for over 22 years. This exact location for about a decade now if I'm not mistaken. I stopped in 2016 because I moved away from any area that has one. The great thing was my food was always hot and freshly cooked.

My soda was always fountain soda very refreshing & made followed by orders given. As of 12/14/2020 I read the local health scores and this location made a 50. A 50 OUT OF 100. I am so disappointed. The problems listed is what really upset me. Roaches visible on counters, food stain cutting boards and beverage drips dirty. I loved my root beer sodas. Never an issue but to think the past month or so they've been tainted!?!

The staff I didn't recognize anymore but they were so professional each visit & always working hard when I would veer into the drive thru window.

I'm a mom and I regularly started back at this location late summer 2020. Lol I literally make my sons get us meals from there 3 to 4 times a month. Expecting baby this January and Dixie Queen is a craving. When not expecting I would visit weekly. I can no longer support this location. I finally moved back to the area after 4 years just to now have to go out to another location. These places are far in between meaning it'll be rare for me to...

All food and specialty beverages are prepared, cooked, and made as they are ordered so be aware that you will wait in line several minutes especially if their are multiple cars ahead of you

This location is always deserving of 5 stars each time that I visit because my food is always hot and fresh and the customer service is also great as well. Of course, you can't expect Chick-fil-A customer service anywhere except for Chick-fil-A so please don't think that you'll be smiled at continuously and told "My pleasure" after every encounter.

I ordered a mix of their honey gold and lemon pepper wings with seasoned fries and a banana milkshake. The honey gold sauce was delicious, the lemon pepper wings had the perfect amount of lemon pepper seasoning without being too overpowering or salty, and the seasoned fries were crispy and had the perfect dusting of salt. The banana shake was delicious too and a plus is that they use real bananas.

They work really hard here and they are all appreciated for making those late night snack runs...
