Taqueria Guadalupana #3 — Restaurant in Memphis

From 5 stars slowly down to one, only one because the food is good. My family of 4 has eaten inside once which was when we actually got the right order and no customer service issues. Also the first time or so we did carryout. I always call in the order and my spouse picks it up. Overtime the orders became increasingly wrong or something was left out. Not to mention with 4 dinners a small chip and salsa used to be included but not for awhile now apparently. Still I pay extra, our order is always a minimum of $50, tip extremely generously when inside but also a small tip even for pickup. I ordered 4, 3 taco dinners and I am usually asked chicken or steak so I suppose my bad that I assumed this time when she said beef she meant steak but nope, ground beef, still good but that never happened before. After making that first part of the order the lady on the phone didn't even say excuse me but started talking and telling another woman that "no they cannot have beer with takeout...(something inaudible)" then snapped back to speaking with me so I was trying to verify she got my 4 dinner order (last time they made 3) and she was quick and snappy saying yes as I was trying to then tell her I would also like a large order of chips and salsa as well as a large cheese dip. She asked anything else after each item. So my spouse gets there. They have the dinners but no salsa, cheese dip or chips. Lady claimed she didn't order that! Funny! I can tell you about how you rudely interrupted me ordering to not allow beer takeout and you literally asked me fastly twice of I would like anything else but lie to my spouse that I didn't order that. Also a small 2/3 filled bag of chips for a large salsa and a large cheese dip both of which were only filled 3/4 of the cup! The quality of the food is NOT worth the messed up orders, horrible customer service, rudeness, charging for something and given less, no itemized receipts to even show what you've ordered, and tonight after my spouse tipped for carryout, the lady lied and said the other wasn't ordered. Last straw for a place I originally gave 5 stars. I don't know what happened to this place but it's a shame. I will drive further now and take my business to the many amazing taco trucks...

On 8/23/2017 around 12:00 me and my fiance came here for lunch. The cashier ask to take our order. I was telling her what we want (1 order of chicken,cheese,rice only, 2nd order chicken, shrimp cheese only. No veggies,tortilla,or fajita for both) She didn't quite understand what we wanted so she ask another woman who was working there to assist her. After the lady help the cashier she told us our price and we paid for it. When we got our food the other lady who assist the cashier told us to check our food before we leave. I did and mine was incorrect. I told the cashier I didn't have my chicken. She told me she disnt.charge me for chicken and chicken was an extra charge. I.told her that was fine. She ran my chicken up and the total was $2.80. As I have her my debit card she told me she will get my food first. When My food was done she came back and said I owe $5.00. I refuse the order but my fiance wanted to get it.. I ask her why did the price increase and she said the manager did it.. I ask can I speak with the manager and she pointed at the woman who help her with our order. I ask the other woman why and she stated " Its the cook who.charge and that's why you people don't come here. I was shock cause I habe never in my 36 years of Life experience a racist commit toward me directly like that. I don't do reviews on a company unless it's a positive review but I had to.share my experience. I am so sicken we got stereo type. My fiance notice at the beginning of the state's and rudeness but I ignored it cause sometime we can over think things. I Would never come back here and business like this shouldn't be open. Yes I'm black but what she and all the other workers disnt see was I AM HUMAN...

This is the best place ever! I am born and raised in Southern California and I have eaten at so many Mexican food places. I have been to places featured on the food network and right next to the border... basically I've been to places that are as authentic as you get in the states. I am also half Hispanic so this is food I grew up with. Now, I haven't made it through the menu but I have had the enchiladas which were great. Since then i have been stuck on the flautas! They are technically taquitos since they are made with corn tortillas (where I'm from at least) but they are the best I have ever had. So delicious.. I didn't think taquitos could be so good....
