2018-04-30 Monday 1:25-3pm. English in below. Glad to know that the Famous 《Hattie B’s Hot Chicken》in Nashville has opened a new location in Memphis, Tennessee. I had this good hot chicken in Nashville and couldn’t find another one which could bit this one. Definitely, Hattie B’s Hot Chicken is way better than another fried chicken place nearby. Today I did wait 35 minutes (1:35-2pm) at the line for ordering. But it did worth to wait. After ordering, it was only 10 minutes waiting time at the table for my food. Today I had “SM Dark with medium Hot Level - Leg/Thigh Quarter with 2 sides, bread, and pickles at $8.50 + Tax & Tips).” I order extra side of “Black Eyed Pea Salad” (only $1 for people who order “Plate.”). Their seasoned chicken was so yummy 😋. The skin was crispy with seasoned spicy hot flavor. The meat inside was juicy and tender. Medium hot level was just perfect to me. I didn’t want to get “Damm Hot” level because I would like to really taste the chicken and its skin. Their sides were good too. Southern Green and Mac & Cheese were my favorites and I first tried their Black Eyed Pea Salad which was good too. Because it is a new location, they chose the location with spacious room for sitting more people than their original location in Nashville where is always packed with long line. Today is 22 ℃/74 ℉. Outside tables were also good under this temperature. Parking spots will never be enough for customers because their chicken is loca favorite. However they are in a residential area so that you can find street parking spots easily. Their service was good. People there were nice to me. I could see that they wanted to give good service to customers. I highly recommend their hot chicken to you (you can choose Southern No Heat if you can’t eat hot...
Read moreStopped in Memphis, and I had to try me some Hattie B's hot chicken... I got it delivered since I wasn't able to drive there being in a semi. I went ahead and ordered a chicken sandwich medium spice, a side of baked beans, and the dirty bird fries medium spice. First, most enjoyed were the baked beans, slow-cooked with bacon and sautéed onions, bell pepper, and garlic. Delicious sweet flavor, great texture, definitely a good side. The dirty bird fries have seasoned crinkle-cut fries with pimento mac & cheese, dark meat tender bites, topped with Nashville Comeback Sauce, green onions, and kosher pickles. Spice was medium, which was ok, nothing too mild or too crazy hot, crinkle cut fries were well seasoned taste good, pimento mac and cheese had a great peppery taste it was amazing, comeback sauce has too much egg you can taste it, green onion and kosher pickle give it a fresh crunch but the dark meat bites are a turn off for the mixture (IMO), would be best if it was white meat but it's good overall. Lastly enjoyed was the sandwich is a boneless, skinless chicken breast fried on a toasted bun with Nashville Comeback Sauce and kosher pickles, was supposed to have cole slaw, but they forgot to put Cole Slaw on my sandwich, disappointed with the place, and I could not go back since I got it delivered. The sandwich was ok and would have been great with the coleslaw. Chicken was juicy and had a great seasoning. Comeback sauce for me is weak and has too much egg, I could taste it. Kosher pickles are good and crunchy. Bread goes well with it, but how can you guys forget the coleslaw?? It would have been easy 5 stars, but forgetting that coleslaw was a big change in the sandwich and made it super dry, and the comeback sauce did not help... ok, this time, hopefully, next time they do not forget...

When we arrived, Hattie B's was packed inside, so once we ordered, we had to sit in their enclosed outdoor patio. Luckily there was some heating, but not a lot, as it was still chilly out. I ordered the Half Bird Dark Meat with the Pimento Mac and Cheese and a side of fries. This is the order you want to get if you go to Hattie B's. First, let's start with the mac and cheese. At a lot of restaurants, the mac and cheese will either be cooked well but not enough cheese, or it will be cheesy but incredibly dry, or it just won't be seasoned. You won't experience that here at Hattie B's. Their mac and cheese was incredibly cheesy thanks to the pimento cheese, and it was seasoned beautifully with salt and paprika and thankfully, the pasta itself was not dry. Second, the fries. The mac and cheese was well seasoned, but the fries were WELL seasoned. Honestly you don't even need ketchup for these fries. The best is saved for last. The chicken. At most fried chicken places, the biggest concern is grease and dry chicken. Those worries don't exist here. The chicken at Hattie B's is so juicy, I swore it melted in my mouth. I got the medium spice level for the chicken, but that spice still packs a punch, but not so much so you're only tasting spice. No, you still get to taste the flavorful breading and the juiciness of the chicken. I wish I could come...
