I have enjoyed being a customer at flashback for several years now but am very disappointed in a recent experience I had. I purchased a pair of relatively expensive earrings and after two wears the crystal in them fell out in my jewelry box. I spoke with the staff there who were extremely kind and understanding but explained that I would have to speak with the owner before they could assist me. I left my contact information and an explanation of what had happened with the earrings for the owner but did not hear back for over a week. When I finally called back she was very rude toward me, insinuating that I was at fault for not knowing information that had never been shared with me. I brought the earrings in to be repaired, and a very nice gentleman sat with me and explained what he was doing as he did it, but the owner continued to scowl at me, offered no apology, told me that she had only seen this once before making me to feel that I had done something wrong. when I apologized for the inconvenience she turned her back to me. Read moreI absolutely love Flashback Inc! Their selection captures the allure of an ultimate time capsule blended with familiar nostalgia. There is something for everyone in the well curated selection of vintage, mid-century, and Art Deco items as well as MUCH more. Legitimately one of (if not) the best antique/thrift stores I have ever been in. Highly recommend stopping in for Memphians and tourists alike.
I discovered the heating tray I have pictured. That is real glass and real wood in impeccable condition with the heating element making what I find to be a neat design under the glass. Not only did a staff member (forgive me, I did not get any names—although I will in the future because I have already been twice and plan to be a regular) take the time to explain what it was to me when I asked, they also showed me another heating tray in another part of the store that was similar so I could compare. Another staff member also pointed out a different item with a similar purpose. Before checking out, they offered to do a demo with me to ensure that it worked properly. Superior customer service. I will be back…and maybe I will purchase the lamp I have my eye on next time…Go visit...
Read moreBeautiful place and situated the heart of midtown. As with most antique stores it is so much of a variety inside. From several centuries ago, albums, pictures, clothing, antique dishes, vase, candle holders, and art etc. This is my first time here but anybody that is looking for antiques I suggest that you give Flashback a chance. My daughter loved the vases and the antique hats and clothing. I saw a lot of old 45 records and a couple of record players, they had a few very old black and white televisions here also, just a nice antique shop all around and the people there are very polite and let you checkout everything in the store as long as you want....
