My friends and family decided to surprise me with an amazing, new, exciting place for dinner. They had worked weeks planning this event. Made sure they reserved a table for the entire party for 7p. At 8 we were finally seated. I had 11 ppl in my party... as my final guest arrived, my party was "greeted" by the manager instructing us that his head chef said he was unable to cook for the 11 ppl sitting at our table. As we all sat in shock, he proceeded to tell my final guest she could sit at another table with strangers. He would not allow her to sit with us, we were willing to shift however we needed to to make sure she was included. I offered not to eat, so he would have only been cooking for 10. (Because 10 apparently is the magic number) What would have happened had someone order a double meal? Extra rice? Since we were already at the maximum. After 5 minutes, 2 of guests got up and went to bar. Where they remained until after dinner was over. I have never been more embarrassed. However the night didn't end there. The over head light blew out. We sat in the dark for at least 20 minutes. I will say the manager set the tone for the entire experience. Our server was unable to keep up with our table. We, as a party who is paying 18% grat. Had to get up and get our drinks refilled at the bar. When we asked the "head" server if ours was new or having a bad night... she informed us that she was not new but since they were so busy we could expect bad service. Yet we were still expected to pay them the full 18%. I guess since they are guaranteed a tip, they didn't feel it was necessary to maintain or do their job correctly. If effort was put forth, I'd be Thier biggest supporter. But in fairness, we all had water... it would have taken less than 5 mins. Once our chef got to our table, I thought things would improve. Everything I heard they are supposed to be interactive, funny, and entertaining. However, it couldn't have been further from the truth. He might have spoke 4 words. Forgot to give one of my guests what he ordered, after he was reminded twice. Needless to say, we were all disappointed. Most of my guests were regulars at your restaurant. That's why they were so excited to take me there. As the night continued they kept apologizing, saying how this is nothing like how it normally is. Never once did the Manager apologize. I will say, I will never return or recommend your restaurant to anyone. My friends and family worked so hard to make my birthday the most amazing night, I wish the outcome would have...
Read moreSo I used to visit this place when I was younger and I did like the food. But I will never be back. I pulled into the the restaurant around 6:30pm on 09/02/2022 and went inside to order some food to go. I sat at the bar looking at the menu trying to find what I was going to order when the man behind the bar said excuse me are you wanting to order food to go and I said yes and that's when he said they couldn't do it because they were too busy? First that doesn't make any sense since any business is good business right? And second there were only two families in the entire restaurant? I was so confused. And it's not like I was only there to order appetizers to go. No, I was there to order some sushi and hibachi and maybe even pay for one of those high priced cold bottled sakes that are like 15 to 20 bucks for one the size of a 12 oz coke while I was waiting because I love cold bottled sake. I will NEVER be back. To turn me away and a profit you would have made off a to go order that wouldn't have shyed from 40 to perhaps even 50 bucks was a...
Read moreWe went on a Monday evening so the experience wasn't like a usual night. Normally we go on a Friday night or Saturday when it's full of people talking and all the hibachi grills are full of customers making ooh and ahhh sounds while the chef blades clink and tinkle on the grill. Our chef was wonderful though and his talent with a knife and serving fork were on point. Within seconds he had everyone laughing and relaxed while he cut and diced everything. His quick humor and attention to detail was amazing to watch. He skill with the hibachi grill was exemplary, and watching him slice food into bite sized pieces, do tricks with his cutlery, make jokes and pay one on one attention to each guest was a real marvel. By the time he was finished cooking, we were trying to eat, laugh and applaud all at once. He was great. And as always, there's so many different flavors and good cooking smells all around us that I can't decide if I want what is on my plate or what a family member has. All in all it was a memorable...
