Los Picosos — Restaurant in Memphis

If you want an honest true to God opinion on this place then look no further because i will tell you that out of all the Mexican restaurants around Memphis Los Picosos has to be the bottom of barrel for me. As a Hispanic Man myself I've tried various foods all around and trust me when I say this place isn't worth the money. Food lacks FLAVOR and usually comes with an extra serving of grease I've tried tacos, burritos,tortas, etc and nothing is good. Literally right across is a better restaurant called tequila town with serves better stuff. Not the greatest either but has betters tacos and salsa. A hidden gem! I have passed by it so many times and never knew. I had the Chicken Fajitas lunch special. The portions were sizeable—enough for leftovers! Delicious chicken, onions, and peppers and a flavorful pico de gallo to go on top. I know lots of Memphis Mexican food connoisseurs value chips and salsa, and the salsa did not disappoint. My friends had the Alambre, steak fajitas, and quesadillas. All looked good and I would definitely order next time. I finished my meal off with a mango agua fresca to go! So refreshing.

I was headed to Bryant's for breakfast but then saw the sign for Mexican breakfasts. I love a good Mexican breakfast and Los Picosos did not disappoint. The huevos rancheros were excellent, the rice was good, the beans tasted homemade. The corn tortillas were fresh and nicely warmed, eggs cooked just the way I asked.
