Poke Paradise

Poke paradise boasts a reputation as the city's go-to spot for authentic Japanese cuisine. After hearing numerous glowing recommendations, I finally ventured to see if it lived up to the hype.

Quality:

From the first bite, it was evident that Poke paradise places a premium on fresh, high-quality ingredients. The sashimi was pristine, buttery, and almost melting on the tongue. The rice was perfectly seasoned and had just the right consistency, complementing the fish rather than overpowering it. The care taken in sourcing ingredients was apparent in every bite, whether it was the tender tuna or the crisp nori wrap.

Taste:

Each dish showcased an intricate balance of flavors. The miso soup was robust yet light, with a deep umami flavor that set the tone for the meal. Signature rolls like the "Godzilla" combined creamy avocado, spicy mayo, and a hint of spice from the fresh jalapeño, creating an explosion of tastes. Even the simpler options, like a classic salmon roll, offered clean, well-defined flavors. Their house-made pickled ginger and freshly grated wasabi were standout additions.

Presentation:

Poke Paradise doesn't just serve food; they serves Art. Each plate was a masterpiece, adorned with edible flowers, vibrant sauces, and intricately cut vegetables. The nigiri arrived neatly arranged on a slate board, while the specialty rolls were beautifully layered and drizzled with contrasting colors. The attention to visual detail elevated the dining experience to another level.

Service:

The staff at Poke Paradise exuded warmth and professionalism. Our server was well-versed in the menu, recommending pairings and answering questions about ingredient sourcing. Water glasses were promptly refilled, and empty dishes were quickly cleared without interrupting the flow of the meal. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority here.

Final Verdict:

Poke Paradise delivers on every front—quality, taste, presentation, and service. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or just looking to dip your toes into Japanese cuisine, this restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience. It's not just a meal; it’s a celebration of fresh, carefully prepared food. Highly...

Jimmy is AMAZING so kind and the best sushi in Memphis! He catered for my sister’s wedding in March which was amazing and then I just went to the store in Bartlett and it was amazing! The kimchi fries are the best! And he gave us some Korean short rib to try and it was so tender and juicy, full of flavor! The Godzilla & Sexy rolls were also amazing and such big rolls!

He is so kind and remembered my mom and what some of her favorites were! He was so kind to my boyfriend and I and made the best recommendations!

He has 100% best service, customer care, and sushi/ mix of other Asian cuisines. You would do yourself a disservice not going to his restaurant & trying his food!

He makes you feel like...

Chef Jimmi has always been in my top 3 of sushi chefs. Food here is consistently the same. So if you like it the first time, it’ll taste the same the next time, which most restaurants can’t brag about. This has been true for all of his past restaurants as well.

My favorite roll is the Batman. I frequently get the 901 burrito. If you love sushi, I’d def recommend trying the sushi burrito! Wife loves the Godzilla roll. The seaweed salad is always fresh. He SERVES his customer and always makes sure the food is to their liking. A master of his craft for sure!

The prices reflect the freshness. You want a solid product, it costs. But you will also be full, as the portions...

This place is a gem!! 5 stars from my whole family!! Everything was high quality and delicious, couldn’t even get a photo of all the rolls or spam musubi before they were excitedly devoured. I was able to snap a photo of one of the 901 burritos which was big enough for two people to split! Spam musubi is my favorite and HIGHLY recommend it!! Call/text order ahead and you’ll be in and out and on your way to the best sushi on the memphis/bartlett line.

We took our family of 6 to Poke Paradise for dinner tonight. We ordered the 5 roll special platter, it was FANTASTIC! Best Sushi we have had on the East Coast and rivals west coast sushi. Jimmy went above and beyond with his customer service. The miso soup and ginger salad were also delicious. We drove 45 minutes specifically for the 5 roll plate and it was above our expectations. 5/5 recommend for any occasion.
