For the most part service was friendly, patient and helpful but that was the only positive we took away from this experience. The pasta salad was dry and flavorless. Aside from one bite to try it, two members of our party didn't touch theirs and the staff ignored it & just trashed the food. The chicken from the chicken parm sandwich was bland and soggy. The red sauce was bland as well. The bread was far too thick to make a reasonable bread to meat ratio. After powering my way through a few bites of large pieces of chicken fat, I got another bite of chicken fat, which prompted me to spit that bite out and give up on the sandwich altogether. At the end of the meal, I informed a member of the staff that my sandwich was really bad. Instead of investigating and correcting the situation, she simply retrieved a business card that asked for improvement suggestions on one side and positives on the other. We also had a member of our party that didn't receive their food until the rest of us were finishing up. It appeared that he wouldn't have received his food at all, had we not reminded the staff several times. All in all, we ended up spending $120 (for 2 people) for an extremely lackluster meal. Very disappointing. We were excited to bring an 8 person party with us to try it out. Chances are highly likely that none of us will be back and won't have good news to tell others about this establishment. Edit: DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GO HERE. They're straight up hustling people for money. As afore mentioned, the food was so bad, the majority of what we ordered went in the garbage but most importantly we were never told that a gratuity was going to be included in the check, so all of us tipped additionally on our cards AND left cash on the table, because the server was patient and friendly. They're using iPads to pull this off. We never received itemized bills that would've alerted us to the fact that a gratuity was present before we authorized the swiping of our cards. Also, they won't even mention giving a copy of an itemized receipt unless specifically requested (thankfully I asked for one). Also, after taxes, we discovered that we paid $44 for three adult beverages. So, unless you like terrible food at ungodly prices and straight up getting hustled for money by staff members DO...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I ate here for the first time yesterday with our family. We have nothing good to say about this experience. We ordered a variety of items, all of which tasted horrible. Though most of our food arrived in a somewhat timely manner, one person didn't receive his food until the rest of us were almost finished eating. At the end of the meal, we informed a staff member that the food was awful. Instead of alerting someone who could correct the situation, she simply handed us a comment card.
Once we were ready to pay and leave, our waitress read our ordered items back to us from an iPad, and everything sounded correct. However, we didn't receive any itemized bills to review before we authorized the swiping of our cards. She didn't even provide a copies of an itemized receipt once we paid unless specifically requested (thankfully my boyfriend asked for one). Ultimately, we ended up spending $120 for 2 people to be disappointed by an extremely lackluster meal. Obviously, we were a bit puzzled as to why our bill was so high.
Upon a closer review of our receipt, we realized that a "service charge" was added without our knowledge. Our waitress never told us that a gratuity was going to be included in the check, so in addition to our waitress receiving a 20% gratuity, she received the tips which we left her on our cards AND the cash we left on the table because she was patient and friendly. All together, she scammed my boyfriend and I out of 50% tip. Also, we discovered that we paid $44 (after taxes) for three adult beverages. We have never spent this much for 3 drinks before.
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS...
Read moreFantastic food but if you enjoy the service component of eating out- AVOID or Get it to go. This is basically a fancy Garibaldis pizza. The concept of service here is laughable. You can either order at the counter or scan a QR code and order online. Either way you are expected to pay AND TIP for everything before you even get it. And if you want another beer, wine or cocktail you must open and close out another tab. No one ever came to our table and explained how the service works or identified themselves as a server. We had 1 check. All items were ordered at once in order of courses. Think drinks, apps, salad, pasta, pizza. The drinks came out. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. Finally a pizza came out, then 1 pasta dish. Still no apps or salad. Our guests refused to eat until the other dishes came out. About 10 minutes later other dishes started to arrive. Our guests food was cold at this point. Then our table was over run with dishes and plates as everything else came out at once. Kitchen clearly needs to work on timing and coursing things out. Or at the very least have someone explain to patrons how this concept is supposed to work. Someone (I assume He was the manager) explained they had a large table (that left 15 minutes after we sat) and it caused the kitchen to get backed up. We were given free dessert as amends, which was tasty, As was everything we ordered. But the service was a hot mess. They may need to shadow garibaldis and see how they make it happen and take some notes. Won’t be back to the restaurant but will certainly be...
