Review: Extremely Disappointed – Quality Has Dropped Significantly
I had Palamuru Pulao at this restaurant last night, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had recently. The dish lacked both taste and salt, and even hours later, I still had an unpleasant, undigested aftertaste in my mouth.
This restaurant used to be good, which makes it even more disappointing to see how much the quality has declined over my last 3–4 visits. Each time, I hoped things would improve, but sadly, they haven't. At this point, I’m seriously considering not visiting any Indian restaurants in India again if this is the standard being set.
To the management: Please consider changing your chef or at least start tasting the food before serving it. You're losing loyal customers who may never return—no matter what improvements are made—simply because the quality is no longer reliable.
Spending $20 for a main course is already on the higher side, especially in Memphis, where most fine-dining places don’t charge this much. But even then, we wouldn’t mind paying if the food and service were worth it. In this case, it certainly wasn’t. Not only was the food disappointing, but we also had to wait 15–20 minutes to be served.
I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously. I urge the management to reevaluate the kitchen staff, food tasting procedures, and overall customer experience.
Until I see improvements, I strongly recommend others avoid this restaurant. It was a complete waste of money, time, and a craving for good Indian food.

Read moreThor Indian Cuisine offers a cozy and welcoming spot to enjoy authentic Indian flavors, especially on a rainy day. My friends and I visited for some classic Indian snacks and were pleasantly surprised to receive complimentary Indian Chay, which was a delightful touch. The Chay was exceptional—rich, perfectly spiced, and just what we needed to warm up from the weather outside. It made the experience feel even more comforting, adding to the relaxed, homely vibe of the restaurant.
While we did encounter a small issue with our Punugulu being undercooked in the center, the staff handled it graciously. Upon informing them, they quickly replaced the dish without any hesitation, which we appreciated. The replacement was much better, and their attentiveness left a great impression on us. Overall, Thor Indian Cuisine’s service was fantastic, making it a memorable and satisfying experience for all of us. The combination of friendly service and tasty snacks made it a spot we would definitely...
Read moreSo here’s the thing, I was in memphis for 5 days and I ordered food on Uber eats. I am not sure about all the negative reviews but my food turned out really good that I ate Thor for all the 5 days in memphis for dinner.
The only thing is every time I ordered I have asked for cutlery but they never added it to my delivery. It was a little frustrating to not get cutlery as I was visiting memphis and was in the hotel.
Also, I have ordered fish appetizer and karampodi chicken appetizer. The portion for fish appetizer was lesser than the chicken appetizer even though the containers were of the same size.
Shrimp appetizer was good to but a little wet.
In conclusion, food was tasty but not giving me cutlery even after adding extra notes and the quantity difference from fish to chicken appetizer is...
