I placed a phone order totaling $22.93. The first call was a hang up. No problem. I called back. The second call was rushed, but that was okay as well. I get to the restaurant, a male customer and his son entered before me. The greeting was very warm for them. The person, (lady) at the counter, behind the glass assisted them with enthusiasm. She even inquired about his son's demographics which happened to be mixed with Vietnamese and Caucasian. This conversation went on for a bit with pleasantries'. She took his method of payment and handed him his receipt through the window. Now its my turn. I get to the window, I get... "may I help You"? The whole smile and pleasant demeanor is gone. I am an Afro American woman who has patronized this particular location. I come here cause this one is on my route home. I smiled and said, wow the atmosphere has changed. She gave me a blank stare. I gave her my name and she took my method of payment. When the charge was processed, she then put my receipt in the window, said sign and walked away. Now prior to that she handed the gentleman his receipt through the window to sign. I signed said receipt and place it back in the window. She returned, looked at the receipt, and placed my food in the window and so plainly said thank you and walked away again. I was the only customer in the lobby at this time and had been the only customer after the first gentleman and his son. There were about 3 other people working behind the counter besides her. The guy who was cutting an order of Sushi was looking as puzzled as I was. I was not pleased with the customer service. The food was ok. I bit into an egg shell in my chicken fried rice and that ended my dinner at that point. My order was a to-go order so i didn't bother...
Read moreGoogled this place because it was somewhat close to my husband's job. Looked at pictures, menu and reviews and I couldn't resist having him pick it up on his way home and trying it!! I had my place for hibachi and sushi but now I am not so sure!! We have leftovers that I have yet to taste so I can't fully comment!! We had the 3 choice sushi rolls with miso soup all for $9.95, feeding 4, mind you. It was amazing. Plus the Memphis roll which was beyond my dreams mouth watering delicious!! If you like flavor with cream cheese follow through then the Memphis roll is where it's at!! I will say zero soy sauce is needed or wanted with this roll and you get so much it is beyond filling!! I love this place for this roll alone!! The kimchee was amazing!! The crab rangoon was so amazing and that sauce, omg!! I have yet to try the miso soup, the house hibachi grill, the chicken udon noodles, or the salad dressing because we had an insane amount of left overs!! I will update how our lunch leftovers taste but if what I ate was any indication this place is absolutely delicious with amazing flavors I have not yet seen anywhere else!! So far I can say this will absolutely be a place we will consider to order from again and the prices are far superior to others. So is the quality and flavors!!!
Okay this is our new...
Read moreEDITED SEE BELOW NEW OWNERS AND FORMAT: What a great surprise. GREAT FOOD at a very reasonable price. I had Hibachi Chicken and it tasted just like the super expensive Japanese restaurants with a generous portion for lunch.... It is next to Harbor Freight Tools and ALDI (Grocery Store). It's way back in the corner of this strip mall, so it's not easy to see from Summer, so look for Advance Auto Parts..... REALLY GREAT Taste.... they have a lot of items on menu, including sushi and sashimi... LOVE IT.
EDITED. I did not go for quite sometime. When I went back, it has changed completely. It has new owners. It is no longer a nice sit down restaurant but a takeout place with less than friendly service. It has been awhile since that last visit, which will be the last, but I don't recall the food being bad or good. So I lowered the stars from 5 to 3. Also ALDI is no longer there, moved...
