Great store, my favorite Aldi in the area. I'll drive out a couple of extra miles to go to this one. All Aldis have a great selection of affordable food, but this one also usually has better vegetarian options available, such as veggie hot dogs.
Definitely cheaper than Kroger - their soda is less than $3 and tastes just like diet coke. An 18.5lb bag of dog food (which is good quality) was only $10. Eggs are usually less than a dollar a dozen.
They have a good selection of baking supplies, household essentials, and special Aldi deals on random items. Sometimes the strawberries will go bad a little quicker than from some other places, but they're cheap and fine if you go through them fast enough.
In terms of keeping things clean during the pandemic, everyone, customers and employees, are required to wear masks. They do well in trying to keep people at a safe distance apart as best as can be done in a grocery store. They limit the number of customers in the store to 60 at a time, but no one had to wait outside. They wipe down the carts after every customer. I'm impressed, much better than other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove Aldiās prices, but the staff can make or break any company/location. The store associates are unhelpful, argumentative, and unprofessional. On busy weekends, they have no more than 2 lines open, meaning customers have to wait in line for at least 10 minutes. The cashiers have AirPods in while handling transactions, which I find truly unprofessional. If there was an emergency or a customer had a question, the associate would be of no use. A particular associate today (Iām assuming his name is Logan because someone else left a review that sounds a lot like my experience with him) ignored a direct question I asked him, then went out of his way to be rude and argumentative with me. This is not my first time seeing him act this way, either. Kindness is free. Maybe itās a value Aldi should put more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time shopping at this location and it is now my favorite! Seriously such a nice sized store, clean, and a bigger selection especially in produce! So much more fruits and veggies than any of the other locations. Austin Peay location is okay for a couple odd items but not produce bc they don't have enough refrigerated space so mushrooms and other items that should be refrigerated are not and are going bad if not growing mold. Kirby-Whitten was my go to location and I definitely will still go when in the area but the Summer Ave. location is where to go! Not sure if it's normally just that busy but for early afternoon I was a little surprised at how busy it was but either way, so far I am the most impressed by this location and will be making it a point to come here as much...
