Wang's Mandarin House — Restaurant in Memphis

Ordered UberEats for pick up. Although food was ready per the app, had to wait 10 minutes for the gentleman up front to get my food from the kitchen. Understandable, since he was bombarded with calls just as the December 2022 initial storm hit.

In terms of food, Singaporean Mai Fun was actually very Manchurian - HARDLY any Singaporean influence!...barely any curry flavor while shrimp and meat appear flavored in 'Mandarin spices'. It was the blandest Singaporean Mai Fun I have ever had. Should have guessed from the name of the restaurant...

Orange beef and General Tso's are better than average (not "amazing"). Pork fried rice is actually 5 out of 5. Crab Rangoon had zero crab (real or imitation). Egg and spring rolls were basic at best.

Love this place for delivery not much to eat in but food is great and delivery or take out is great ! I ve order from them for years About a year ago give or take the food has not been consisted some days best food I ve ever eaten other days well I’ve thrown some out I get pork chow mein every time I order I all ways say no mushrooms and they fuss at me saying it does not come with mushrooms So I get my order tonight it’s full of mushrooms I called they say we can can give u credit really that won’t work I don’t drive and I spent of my money on food I can’t eat they go so fast and they serve stale food if u ask for extra sauce they won’t give u as much of the other sauces I think they have changed owners they are greedy and rude I ll never do business...

I was under the impression that this place had Thai or Mongolian or an Asian mix but was surprised when the menu was just basic Chinese Take-Out. The service was okay and the food wasn't what I would normally expect. I got the general tsos chicken with fried rice. The General Tso lacked the traditional flavor profile and was underwhelming, the fried rice was good and the spring roll was fresh and tasted good. There wasn't a soda fountain and you would have to buy canned drinks or bottled water, which was disappointing. The portions were decent though.
