The service was horrible, the food was horrible, and the entire atmosphere was horrible! We walk into the Zaxby's, the line isn't long but it isn't moving fast either. We finally get to the register and the young man just acts like he can't hear anything I'm saying, and my voice isn't very low. We order our food, cost about $28 and we decide to eat in the restaurant. They finally call our name after about waiting for about 10 minutes and I go pick the food up and take it back to the table. We had a big snack meal, the five piece bone-in wing combo, and a kids meal with a chicken strip. The only meal that had sauce was the kids meal. So I approached the counter and asked for sauce, the manager tells me it's $0.25 for sauce. So I ask why would I have to pay $0.25 for sauce if I don't have any. She starts going on a rant about how she "packed the bag" herself and knows that it has sauce in it. I go back to my table grab the bag and bring it back to her and ask her where's the sauce? I don't see any, there's none in the bag. Before I can return back to my table she hands me three cups of ranch. She had a nasty attitude, your cashier doesn't listen because I wanted bone-in wings and I ended up with boneless wings which were nasty, the best thing about my entire meal was the french fries, that's it! I don't know what happened with this Zaxby's but it's really going downhill all the way down hill! I will never visit this Zaxby's again! Read moreA friend and I ordered food online for pickup to make things quick and easy...that did not happen. When the food was ready, we went in to pick it up. My friend had the wings and checked his bag to be sure it was correct. They forgot his sauce, so he asked if they could get him one. The cashier said show me. He had to open his bag to prove he wasn't trying to get an extra. I've never had an issue getting extra sauce at any zaxby's location before let alone accused of something. After she saw that there wasn't any, she got him one. I proceeded to check my bag only to find that they had included the zaxby's sauce but forgot the ranch that I ordered. I told her, and again she accused me of the same, demanding that I prove it. I showed her my bag, and she snatched out the zaxby's sauce. She then got me a ranch before proceeding to put the zaxby's sauce back in the bin with the others to go to another customer (a big no no as far as cross contamination). She proceeded to accuse me of not ordering it in the first place, to which I showed her the ticket from my online order that clearly stated ranch. When we finally ate the food it was mediocre, definitely sub par zaxby's. I called the manager the following day and she said she should not have put the sauce back because that is cross contamination. She asked what time the incident occurred so that she could watch the tape back and see who was involved. I am writing to express my disgust and deep disappointment with the Zaxby's location on Union Ave in Memphis, TN. On the evening of May 28, I placed an order via the drive-through pick-up line. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.
Firstly, the attendant who took my order displayed a noticeable attitude and rudeness. Upon reaching the window, I received a Cobb Salad instead of the House Salad with grilled chicken that I had ordered. When I pointed out the error, the window clerk instructed me to pull around to the side of the restaurant.
Upon receiving the (allegedly) corrected salad, I discovered that fried chicken had been substituted for the grilled chicken. To my dismay, the fried chicken was also burnt, rendering it inedible. Despite my disappointment, I refrained from making a fuss due to concerns about food tampering.
It is beyond disheartening that my visits to this particular Zaxby's location consistently leave me feeling like an inconvenience to the staff. As a paying customer, I expect professional service. Therefore, I urge Zaxby's corporate office to thoroughly evaluate this restaurant and provide necessary training to improve the quality of service.
I demand a refund for my order and urge an investigation into the poor service at this specific establishment.
