Poke World - Midtown — Restaurant in Memphis

I visited Poke World Midtown back to this August. The experience is horrible that I cannot forget about it. Therefore I came back and posted my reviews here. I ordered two cups of Milk Tea and Takoyaki here. I first ordered Coconut Milk Tea, after ~10 minutes of wait I got it and tasted it. Ma’am it has nothing to do with either coconut or milk tea…. I was way too shocked that I asked the lady who handed me the milk tea if she is sure this is what I ordered. After she confirmed, I decided that maybe coconut milk tea is kind of new and the classical one should be better. Then I ordered the classical milk tea…. Well it did tasted more like milk tea, but just a little bit. I have been a fan of milk tea for around twenty years, always trying milk tea from different stores when I came to a new place … I have no idea how they can make things like that and called it milk tea and charged people ~$5/cup. The food is good but I would wait for a couple weeks before going because there are definitely some growing pains. I ordered one chashu bun, one chicken bun, and takoyaki. The order ended up being $5 more than the prices listed on the menu (according to the menu, it should have been $14.85 before tax, but I got charged almost $20). The cashier told me it was because I was getting my order to-go. Well, when the order came out, it turned out she put it in as dine-in (I watched them bring it out, have a convo about how it should have been take-out, and then they bagged it for me), so I don’t know where the price discrepancy came from. Another problem I had was that one bun had two toothpicks in it, where one toothpick was hidden as it was fully lodged into the dough of the bun. What can I sayyy I love poke world 😮‍💨 you have a load of options from their appetizers, entrees, to their drinks. Poke world leaves you with the curiosity to try something new every time while still wanting to stick with the delicious food or drink you tried the time before😂❤️ I loveeeee their tempura shrimp it’s the best in town it’s so crunchy great for asmr 😂 their mango habanero wings are so good they are both spicy and sweet the perfect balance.
