Lennys Grill & Subs — Restaurant in Memphis

The worst experience ever today for my family, from my favorite restaurant in Memphis Tennessee on Cooper street, corner of Madison and Cooper. Me and my wife walk in and the cashier taking our order looked to be about fifteen years old refused to speak loud enough for us to hear him. I had to lean forward over the cash register with my hands up to my ears to hear him and we were held up for thirty minutes just on the transaction because the cashier told us that his register keeps freezing. I ordered two fifteen inch combs. Then next my daughter came in and ordered a fifteen inch combo. So my daughter came over and started a conversation with us, my wife and I and the cashier automatically assumed since we were all African Americans we must be together and put all our orders in one bag. I then had to teach the young man what is meant when you tell a customer that they have a free combo today and they really don’t!!! So after getting my food and checking it,,, I had to come back to the restaurant to show him that my order was still wrong and he said to me that he just took it upon himself to give us a bag of all seven inches instead of what we ordered and so after he refused to rectify the situation I left just irritated and exhausted from being there almost an hour, just to get home and find out our food was now cold and missing ingredients and small proportion and prepared incorrectly. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is because of the chocolate chip cookies. That's the only real reason they are gonna get that many stars. I have not bought any sandwiches from them at all. My previous employer had the nerve to provide us lunch from the Lenny's on US HWY 64 and those 6in. subs were not selling me on ever buying a sandwich from them. We had the choice of turkey, ham, or chicken salad or something like that. I chose turkey and to my regret. The sandwich was dry, tasteless, with not enough meat. And I'm the kind of person who hates too much meat. But all I was left with was a bunch of dry, hard bread. So, based off of that experience alone, I don't want to try any of their other foods. Like I mentioned, I go for the chocolate chip cookies only, and I think the price ain't bad for the size of the cookies. Yes. I am a chocolate chip cookie junkie😆 and theirs are the best I've eaten since Mrs. Field's left Memphis. From what I can tell, the times I've gone to get cookies, I don't remember being greeted any of those times and that's at the one in Overton Square, which is closest to where I live. i have been going to this lenny's every week for the last 5 years. today will be my last. First of all i called to place my order and a guy with a really bad speech problem. he mumbelled and fumbelled with my order. then i pick it up and get back to my office. I take a bite and realized that they not only didnt put on the ranch i asked for but didnt add the mayo that is usually on a philly.... I pretty much just have a dry philly.... Then i call the store and the same guy picked up the phone. I asked for a manager" he said aint one and what u want" i told him that i need to talk to a manager. so he hung the phone in my face..... then i called back ...... then he hung the phone up on me again..... we did this a couple more times.. until he decide not to answer.
