I’m a pretty longtime patron of Zinnies, and I’m loath to criticize. Things change, obviously. New owners. But I have to say my main criticism is that this reboot is too BRIGHT. There’s too much bar swag littering walls, and one gets the overwhelming feeling of being in some bro’s flourescently lit man cave. Wouldn’t be a difficult change to make at all, but it would make a huge difference as far as atmosphere. My opinion: keep it simple as you can—that’s what made the original Zinnies so great.
