I recently had an exceptional experience with Takashi Bistro that I felt compelled to share. My wife had just given birth to our first newborn child and, unable to leave the house, was craving sushi which she wasn’t able to have throughout her pregnancy. I wanted to surprise her with a sushi boat I walked in and told them I had an unusual request, though startled at first they quickly agreed and were incredibly understanding and accommodating. They listened to my situation with genuine empathy and went above and beyond to help me arrange the perfect surprise for my wife. The sushi boat, was beautifully presented and filled with an assortment of the freshest, most delicious sushi. Each piece was meticulously crafted, and the variety was impressive. It was clear that a lot of care and attention to detail had gone into preparing it. My wife was overjoyed and touched by the gesture, and I have Takashi Bistro to thank for making it all possible. Their dedication to customer service and quality is unmatched. They not only met but exceeded my expectations, helping create a memorable and heartfelt experience during a very special time in our lives. I highly recommend Takashi Bistro to anyone looking for exceptional food and outstanding service. They turned a simple craving into a cherished memory for our family. Thank you for your kindness and for making our celebration truly special.

After I finished up my massage at Massage Envy which is a few doors down from this restaurant, I was going to head to a restaurant by my home that I frequent, but instead I walked down to the Takashi Bistro to sit down and eat. It felt great being welcomed by my server Morgan from beginning to end. Morgan was soooo professional and very attentive, you can that she wanted to be at work because she smiled every time she dropped by my table to check on me, all I can say is, every restaurant need a Morgan! The atmosphere was clean, and the dining tables setup was simple but very elegant and they had great chilled relaxing music playing in the background. The food was delicious!!! I did not get a chance to meet the chef personally but I give a big shout to their chef!!! The food was not only delicious, the presentation of the food was superb. I ordered the Gyoza for my appetizer, and I had the Hibachi Chicken and Shrimp for my entree, which included clear soup, grilled vegetables fried rice, 2 extra grilled shrimp and a salad. Everything and I mean everything was seasoned and delicious! If you like Japanese Cuisine, you definitely want to try this restaurant. I will definitely be back again, Two 👍 👍 up Takashi Bistro!

To go salad is $3.95, plus a mandatory added in gratuity. It s the saddest smallest salad ever. Much different from the one I had in person here last week. I wish I had been warned how much difference there is in take out portion size and service quality between their dine in and carry out. DO NOT GET TO GO FOOD HERE WITH OUT CHECKING IT ON SITE FIRST You really shouldn't get take out here at all due to the drastically smaller portions from in house. After you drive back to get the dressing they left out after collecting a forced tip for service, the sushi will be warm because they do not bother to bag cold and hot foods separately. Well packed food should get a tip. Not everything thrown into one bag with things missing or soy sauce lids not fully closed. Seriously...four bucks plus FORCED tip for this sad amount of ice berg lettuce with no dressing. Hope they didn't take out too long of a lease because there's an excellent sushi place literally next door where the employees care about doing a good job instead of their collecting mandatory gratuity no matter how much business they lose for the restaurant.

My son and I came for lunch and left with a sense of community, pride for us Memphians, calming and absolutely mouth watering. We have a plethora of places we love to go in and around Memphis. But have you had the Takashi Experience? If you have than you know...if not. I challenge you to take yourself to Takashi and impress yourself in real Memphis. Where the staff are wonderful and do an emmpeccable job taking care of their customers. I believe my waitresses name was Morgan. A tall, joyful, knowledgeable, beautiful black woman . Anything less than 20% is wild.. I wish I would of brought some cash to bless her even more. So let's get into it. You know I went to the restroom to wash those hands and the bathroom was fresh, stocked and clean. And my son shared the same for the male bathroom. It is small and quaint. I wish I could have ate outside but I don't think that was visible. Atmosphere was great. They have tvs and who doesn't like to eat chat and chill. I watched a Pirate movie and Scooby Doo! Sports was an option too.

To the meat and potatoes or shall I say Eel and red snapper sashimi , which was Devine. Fresh and filling. The wasbi was fresh and cleared my eyeballs out! Our entree was the Seafood habatchi.. lobster tail, shrimp, and for the love of me I can't remember the other protein. All cooked to perfection. KUDOS! TO THE CHEF. Our meal was Juciey and flavored. I mean you don't need anything just some chop stixs that by thr way they do have the trainers. All are welcome to learn. Water and the Joullbolee*(adult) and pink lemonade were fantastic. I wonder what type of tequila that was. Anyways I didn't get her name.. But she's short, shoulder length hair, cute as a button. She made sure we were good . I'll post some pictures. So look if you want to impress a date take them here!!! Price was below the quality. I mean 100 bucks was not bad at all!!! Tell me when you go.. I wanna go back. There are limited seats at bar but I want that Experience next. Ask questions I'll answer them. This is my new Favorite place to dine. Chill and relaxed. Best...

I have frequented this business many times in the past and this was the first incident that has changed me into a former customer. I ordered my food online and upon pick up the cashier asked may name and I said Tundria and she replied Casandra and I said again "No, my name is Tundria". She said ok and gave me my food along with the total. I paid for my food and left. Once I got home I checked the bag and it was not my order and the ticket said Casandra. I called back and she apologized and repeated that she heard me say Casandra... which I did not. She asked did I want to get a refund and bring the food back and get my original order, I said yes. I took the food back and was offered to pay for my food which was a shock to me being that I was not in the wrong. The manager Andy said I could pay for my food or get a full refund and no food. He was very rude. I then asked why am I having to pay the full price when I was the unsatisfied customer. I had to drive all the way back there for their mistake. My food was only $25 and the other total was $36. I was given $16 dollars back. That is not how you do business at all. I have been in the customer service business 10+ years and this was far from customer service. Andy was more focused on hanging out at the bar with his friends than taking care of a frequent customer. I hope this comment reaches the owner and the staff is trained on how to better handle these type...
