Went in at about 20:30 on a Tuesday -04/27/21 evening. The first thing that cued me in to the overall apathetic atmosphere was the music blaring so loudly I couldn’t hear my partner’s voice a foot away from me. We looked at the ice cream which had a separate retail half gallon sitting precariously on the other ice cream containers.

We moved from the ice cream counter to about halfway between the two separate registers. That was when I noticed four separate, yet distinct, problems; it appeared as though the workers, whom had yet to greet us(problem 1), were using the customer counter area to prepare food-chocolate covered waffle cones(problem 2), a food service tray of bacon was out and in the open during our entire 10 minutes there(problem 3), and finally, one of the two employees ignored us completely while they were on their phone(problem 4).

I cleared my throat loudly and said aloud to no one in particular that the volume of the music-some top 100 store radio station-was so loud I couldn’t hear myself think. At this, the second employee huffed and went in to the back, promptly turning the music down, for which I was grateful.

I turned to the first employee and he finally put his phone away and mumbled something about taking our order. I asked for a large, dark roast, Midnight Dunkin’. At this, he asked his co-worker through the headset system (who was about 2 feet away) where that is. His coworker responded through the headset that he would be right there. Employee 2 switched places with employee 1 and said that they didn’t have that available. Employee 1 proceeded to take his phone back out of his pocket and scroll through some app while he walked away.

I asked employee 2 if he would have to make it that I would wait for a fresh pot. He responded that they didn’t have any coffee left for the day. So my partner asked if they could make a shake for her and was answered with something akin to not being able to.

At this point I gave up. I told employee 2 I didn’t want to order anything. My partner did end up ordering one scoop of jamocha ice cream in a sugar cone. Believe it or not, he actually got that right.

I have been to some places that have had poor service. I have been to some places that have been outright rude or otherwise purposely unhelpful. This place takes the cake. The apathy, the lack of proper customer service, and the complete withdrawal of responsibility present here is truly awe-inspiring.

Both employees were high school age, so there is some forgiveness allowed in lack of experience. I assume these two have not been properly trained on the register system or in food handling given the work area and the tray of bacon left out.

I’ve read other reviews that state similar happening across all shifts. This appears to be a management issue, not just lazy workers. Avoid this place until they clean...

I grew up in the Boston area, and visit family there often, so I KNOW DUNKIN'! a friend and I decided to stop at this Appleton Avenue location to sit and sip inside while we visited. This location IS NOT up to the Dunkin' standards I am used to seeing. We waited at least five minutes for the order clerk to take our order after she finished 'visiting' with friends at the other end of the counter. She took our beverage order, and then our food order. My friend wanted an egg and cheese english muffin. After a few more minutes we were told that they were all out of English Muffins, with none in the freezer. So, a bagel was requested for a substitution. I wondered how a high demand item like an English Muffin would be out of stock at 11:30 on a Sunday morning. The clerk then rung up the order, and without asking me if I wanted the receipt, threw it in the trash. She grunted when I asked for it, and she grudgingly got my receipt. We went to be seated to wait for the food. At least five minutes later a different clerk came to our table and announced that there were no more bagels left and that our only option was a croissant. Exasperated, we agreed to that. When we finally got our food, we discovered there were no napkins available at the condiment location, nor were none provided with the food. We had to ask for napkins. In the meantime, several customers came in and walked out as they were ignored by the counter clerk. While we continued sitting at our table, two of the clerks got into an argument and began shouting at each other and one of them stormed out of the store and went to her car, but later reappeared. Another customer who was right behind us in line, waited in excess of fifteen minutes before he got a bacon and egg sandwich. With four clerks manning the store, it was a puzzle to wonder why the service was so slow since neither the inside or the drive thru was especially busy. It also looked like our table hadn't been cleaned recently. Before leaving I went to the...

I went there this morning and ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese. The order on the screen was correct and I was the only car in the drive thru at that time. I gave the cashier cash and got change back. A guy handed me a bag and inside it looked like a wrapped bagel. I got to work and found out it was a bagel sandwich. I was able to step out of my office 40 minutes later and pulled through drive thru. Not surprised no one else was there since this place is so awful. The same guy looked at me and gave me the bag and I handed him the original order that was wrong. And just as I was about to leave the manager (owner? Idk) said I needed to pay for the bagel. I told her I just gave him the wrong order and I already paid. She told me she needed a receipt. I said the bagel is still warm I was literally just here and I was never given or even asked if I wanted a receipt! She said too bad it’s already in her system and that I needed to pay because she can’t cancel the order. I said that makes no sense because what if someone drove off without paying? She said she could just say they drove off but I didn’t leave so I needed to pay. WHAT? Wouldn’t she be smart enough to just print off the receipt from this one and do an exchange? But instead she told me she’d just pay for it and slammed the window on me. She’s ALWAYS so crabby and rude. She was the reason I didn’t come back for months and she’s the reason I won’t return again. Then I just see all of these 2 star reviews on this awful service and I definitely...

Ordered for pickup. This is how we received our two donuts. No protection on the frosting and melted all over the bag. I’ve had this happen at the Silver Spring location too (that time ordered via drive up window). Awesome quality control and you can tell employees have pride in their work (says with sarcasm dripping as much as the frosting on these donuts). Some will say “you ordered fast food, what do you expect?” I expect better. I expect to pay for a service and have it be delivered with some bit of care shown.

if you are looking for prompt, efficient, and accurate service, do not go to the DD in Menomonee Falls. We ordered 2 simple sandwiches, after 35 minutes of waiting... still no food. We went to the counter to find out what was up. The workers looked confused about our order. only to look at the screen and realize it had not been made. We left never to return to this DD again. this is not the first poor experience here, third time is the charm to never to back.
