Mediterranean Food is the Delicious Equalizer!
If there are vegans and carnivores in your group, you cannot go wrong with a Mediterranean Restaurant. Delicious options.
Quick and friendly service of delicious food from start to finish.
We began with ice waters and one from our party ordered a freshly squeezed juice, the Honeymooner. Ingredients were carrot, grape, and cucumber. Fresh is an understatement! This was delicious and refreshing after a humid day.
Appetizers began with hummus, the entry level appetizer that sets the dining experience. What a delicious treat! The right ratio of chickpeas and tahini topped with olive oil and spices. A fresh slice of tomato and cucumber. Wonderful to dip pita in this. Next was an order of Sfiha. This was a scrumptious dish of sautéed lean ground beef, lightly fried pine nuts, onions, tomatoes, and herbs folded into a pita pie and topped with cheddar and scallions. We had to pace ourselves to save room for our main courses.
First main plate was the Chicken Curry Pitza. This was a crispy flat pita with honey dijon topped with curried chicken, peas, sliced onions, banana peppers, and fried onions. If you like savory, spice and a tiny hint of heat, this is a great option.
Next was the Flavor Savor Special. Proper name! Highlight were the chicken mishwi and beef kafta that sat on a bed of rice with vermicelli and served with fresh greens, more yummy hummus, and falafel. This hits the flavor wheel. Moist, savory, wonderful balance of protein and carbs.

Read morePlace was packed and we had to wait 10 min for a table, but it was well worth it - I miss our Aladdin Eateries that used to be in Columbus. Such a great bargain for extremely fresh and healthful food!
The lamb entree salad with garlic sauce in place of dressing is exactly what I needed after a long hike. The lamb was delectable and not chewy in the least. Hummus was smooth and flavorful, I'm not sure what they do to it, but I couldn't stop eating it. The cauliflower bites were not my cup of tea, but I can't say they weren't cooked well, as everything is freshly prepared, cooked to perfection, and presented beautifully at Aladdin's, as always. The tiramisu is hands down THE BEST I've ever eaten (though they don't make it there).
Also, as an aside, the bathroom was as pristine as it would have been in a rich person's house. You know what they say about clean restrooms in a restaurant? Clean bathroom = clean kitchen. Very reassuring. 10/10, would stop there again if only to eat tiramisu and enjoy the restroom!
I guess I'm just going to have to start traveling around Ohio more to get my fix of Aladdin's...
Read moreThe only thing consistent about take-out here is that I am left consistently disappointed. If there was any alternative for mediterranean in my area, Aladdin’s would be a no-go for me. On Friday I ordered two chicken shawarma rolled. I specifically asked the individual with whom I placed my order if it was prepared with pickled turnips because I thought it was, but did not see it listed on the menu. I was told that it was, but apparently it is not. Had she known, I would have had her add them to my order and been happy to pay extra (because I love them). For nearly $7 the shawarma is practically a snack and I couldn’t even get it the way I wanted it. I’ve also been ordering tahini dressing on the side (an extra charge) because there have been times the shawarma was served without it. Even when I have dined in I’ve found the dishes served to be lackluster, puny, and not cheap. It is unfortunate that Aladdin’s is the only mediterranean option. The hostess who took my order, albeit misinformed, was...
