Carniceria y Taqueria Superior — Restaurant in Merced

First time stopping by Carneceria Superior tonight and we ordered carne asada fries and rolled tacos and buñuelos for dessert. The food was good only issue is the carne asada on the fries, would of enjoyed more freshly cooked carne asada with emphasis on the size of peices of meat. I will say we were there about 15 minutes before they closed. I still ate every last fry - dont get me wrong. It was good. The sour cream was fresh, the guacamole was nice and chunky and fresh, the chipotle flavor crema was tasty, fries nice and crispy. Aside from the food we ordered, this place offers a huge selection of fresh meat and I happend to notice they offer bulk packages of a variety meats for sale. This place is great. I come here and get my marinated carne asada and chicken for grilling. They also have a small kitchen that prepares great tacos and burritos. Their menu also includes other Mexican staples such as Chile’s Rellenos, Carnitas, etc, etc. The Creamy Chipotle Shrimp burrito is my favorite item. It has great flavor. I wasn't going to tell anyone this but Carniceria has one of the best burritos in Merced. The meat is so delicious and tasty and tender. When you bite into it your eyes filled with tears. The only reason why I didn't rate this five-stars is because when you ask-for lite rice and beans. The burrito always feels loose. And I have asked for them to roll it a little bit better but still it's the same. So I just come home and reroll it myself.
