Ravello's Event Center — Restaurant in Merced

My sister had her wedding here on September 16,2023. The decoration was beautiful and the bartenders working that night were wonderful. The service we got from the wedding corridnator Emily was ok. To start off we paid for 215 guest to get served, but by the time it was table eights turn to get served our guest had to wait 10 minutes because there wasn't enough made, on top of that they didn't have enough food and were scraping the sides of the pans. We paid $21.50 a plate, 20 people didn't even show and we where already running out of food, that's not right. What happened to the rest? A few of my guest were racially profiled, we are a Mexican family and one of our tios has a heavy accent he was trying to ask one of the servers a question and she was being so rude but when my mom talked to her, her voice changed completely. Another issue is that we paid a pretty penny for the champagne toast. Apparently they had an issue with staffing and Emily was the only one working so it took over 2 hours to get our champagne out so by the time all the guest recieved it, the bride and grooms champagne was warm. With the lack of staffing caused a lot of issues. We have been contacting Emily but my sister is getting no response back. We waited over a month to hear from Emily or the owner but no phone...

It's good I'll give them that, but I have to say that in comparison with the other similar italian place in town (Strings) they're not that good. I feel like the portions are a bit too small for the price. At Strings you get more for food for less price and the flavor is just as good or even better. The treatment was good, although we went on Valentine's Day night and it looked like they were a bit understaffed. I got the shrimp fettuccini alfredo which was really good,the bread they give you taste alright in my opinion although the people I went with liked it a lot. The caneloni was really good as well as the calzone which when they were Diccico's wasn't that good, the only downside to all of this is again is the portions considering they plates go for $17 for the shrimp seems to much to me. We also tried the calamari which was alright and the things I really like is their bruschetta but then they charge you extra $3 per shrimp if you want to add shrimp.
