Teriyaki Don — Restaurant in Merced

We had a very !!!!!!! unpleasant experience as we were accused by the manager of stealing soda....extremely embarrassing to be honest with you! Since she walked to my table to confront me about my husband stealing her $2 dollar soda.

I purchased $50 worth of food that included 2 refillable sodas, I do not drink soda myself, one was for my husband one was for my nine year old. I decided to pour OUNCES, of soda in a "water cup" FROM MY HUSBANDS CUP ( NOT FROM THE MACHINE) so my Toddler twins could have a sip a sip!!!! since they were crying about us not letting them drink soda late........yes I poured literally ounces of my soda for a 4 year old twins..... like how much soda can a toddler drink??? 3 sips???? The manager walks to my table to tell me I need to pay another soda because she saw my husband filling out the "water cups" with soda....from the machine!!! That she had cameras.....and she saw him! NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at your cameras and confirm that your "water cups" were filled in my own table.

If I have two large soda cups that I can refill 3..4 ..5 times how I'm I stealing your soda ?? for pouring ounces of OUR soda.???????? My husband did pay for a 3rd soda because he is a nice person and we don't like to argue, but it was absolutely ridiculous.

This is not even about money !!! is only $2 !!!! dollars....this is the fact that you accused us of something that is not true, embarrass us in-front of people and my daughter we are honest people and we can pay for as many sodas as we wish. please look at your cameras before you approach people to accused them..... Never in my life coming...

Visited this place for the 1st time today 5/8/24 and overall experience was not pleasant at all. The ordering process felt as if I was taking from the cashier's time with the bothered face she had on. I ordered the seafood curry, which I regreteed getting, It was just boiled seafood over white rice and drenched in legit brown sauce that tasted overly condimented with either goya sauce or a lot of powdered bullion, the smell was overwhelmingly intense. My son ordered a chicken curry, with under cooked chicken and same empowering flavor as the other curry. We also got a salmon burger that came with overly cooked dry salmon and huge fillings of onion, cucumbers, lettuce and tomatoes which made it overwhelming to eat as it kept falling apart. Sushi Aswell wasn't great due to the dryness of the salmon and rice in the sushi. With all respect the best part of our meal was the fountain sodas. On top of this seeing two other table be unsatisfied with their food only validated that what we felt was not wrong. 1 table left their filled plates and walked out after 2 sips. And a table next to us also complained about the food as they ate. I really had high hopes for this place based off the reviews. The pictures on here all look decente but the consistency and flavoring doesn't match the appearance, which is unfortunate. I over sought the priciness of it in the beginning assuming it would be well worth it ($118), but I an my party of 4 were extremely disappointed. Now I understand why they charge for food in advance. So this is my like 10th time coming here and I always get the Chicken and Beef Teriyaki Don Bowl and order extra meat but today I went to order extra meat and apparently it has been taken off the menu the same day I just came today lol. The meat portion has gotten much smaller as well I'm guessing they've been losing money and business isn't going well which explains why they took extra meat off the menu. Well today I ordered 2 chicken and beef teriyaki don bowls. One of them had less meat by a lot and I gave that one to my mom (glad I did because I'm about to talk about the thing that would've had my mom marching to the restaurant 😅). Well as I was half way in eating my meal I found a hair for the first time here in my food. I slowly pulled it out of my chewed up food in my mouth and thought to myself "thank goodness I didn't give this one to my mom lol" I don't really get disgusted with finding hairs in my food but I am little disappointed now. First the extra meat is gone then I'm getting even less meat now and then I found a hair in my food. Won't be coming back here for a while till they bring back extra meat. Also usually the chicken is a bit dry but the beef is always so yummy, it's sad honestly that I can't glaze this place anymore because I don't want to recommend such a place anymore. Also make sure to ask for utensils because sometimes they somehow forget to put it in with your order lol. Also the teriyaki sauce and salad dressing sauce is really good, very unfortunate....
