Whataburger — Restaurant in Mercedes

This was tied for worst dining experience at a whataburger ever. The food tasted as expected, the only reason food gets 3 points. Besides this, the restaurant had run out of basic items such as ketchup and napkins and there was never any of this mentioned to the customers as they came in. The atmosphere that we received was one that made you feel unwelcome as you came in to the restaurant. The floors were dirty, we noticed that there was no team playing, every employee appeared like they did not want to be at work and we're ignoring customers, and restrooms were dirty. Two examples were one it took almost 15 minutes to place an order coming in and no one ever cared to help the person at the cash register. She asked a manager for assistance on a discount and was ignored blatantly by him. The second comes after almost 30 minutes of waiting for our food(rounding up a bit), first they bring out an order made before us and then an order that was made at least 10 minutes before theirs and then ours. When we got our order we were advised that they ran out of ketchup and that they had no napkins, this is where I got upset. The male employee literally lied to us because a few minutes before a female employee hand brought out a roll of paper towel that she had presented to another family. When I made a comment of are you sure you are out even the paper towel roll he said "yes we are out and there isn't any". A couple of minutes passed when the same female employee was handing out pieces of the roll. We went to get some. This was a horrible experience and will definitely avoid this spot in the future. Almost forgot to mention, we asked for grilled jalapenos slices on a burger, was charged, and received like 3 or 4 very small pieces. Horrible customer service and experience. I'm not sure what's happened with this whataburger. It seems as if they are not in a real hurry to provide any customer service. The cashier that took my order seemed bored or tired and seemed ingenuine with her customer service. If that's what we can call it. When I received my order the fries seemed old. They also had a very irregular look to them. As if they had put some seasoning on them, like pepper or something. The fries weren't your typical long, crispy gold and normal looking French fry. My fries looked skinny, orange, soaked in grease and most of them had little black dots on them like moldy French fries. I can understand you get an irregular fry here or there but they all look to be awkwardly stained. I should have taken a picture but I returned them to the cashier so I could get fresh fries, she proceeded to turn around and let somebody know in the kitchen to get fresh fries. Then she went back to taking the other customers order without looking at me or letting me know how long it would take to get my fresh fries. The patty I ordered for the Whataburger Junior had a piece of meat missing from it. The cheese was melted, it was a very cold slice of cheese, I suppose I should ask next time for them to melt it. I expected my new french fries to be fresher than the first, but they were practically the same. I'm not sure if they were redipping the fries in the oil or if they haven't changed the oil in a long time, but it was my worst french fries ever from any...

This is literally the WORST Whataburger I've ever been to in the entire valley. The orders are NEVER ready on time. This is the second time in about a month I placed a late night order and get here to be told the "shake machine is being cleaned." No offer to credit me my money last time so this time I asked for my $2+ extra that I paid to get a shake with my meal. They tell me they "can't credit it because it's an online order." I keep giving this place chances because it's the closest one to my home, but I will NEVER COME TO THIS WHATABURGER AGAIN. As I'm typing this I'm STILL WAITING at 11:26pm and my order was supposed to be ready at 11:15pm. My order # is 2071887 incase management sees this, if they even care. I'm not giving Mercedes Whataburger any more chances. EVERY time I come to this location I have a problem of some kind and orders are ALWAYS LATE.
