This is really two businesses (Thyme Kitchen and Catering) in a storefront that probably can't support two businesses. I say that watching this place get slammed Saturday and setting chaos in sue. Little odd things I witnessed like drinks out of the same refrigerator having to be purchased from one business, while other drinks out the same refrigerator needing to be purchased at the other, which is odd and inconvenient especially when there's huge lines.
That said, the wait for coffee was a little long, as was for the food. The wait was worth it though, great coffee, and the food was delicious as well, albeit our potatoes were burnt beyond recognition in some spots.
Seating is outside, unshaded under a pergola, which is nice on a regular day, but would be terrible on any hot day.
There's some growing and streamlining these places (Hallowed Grounds and Thyme) will have to do to keep up with the demand and volume of customers. I hope they can do so because they together have a...
Read moreBob Kelly (Fox 29 news personality) had come to this place and I figured since I was passing through I'd stop by as well. Please know before you go that you order the food from one register coffee at the other register.
I ordered my coffee 1st. The lady taking my order was really nice and helpful. When I ordered the s'more latte, she informed me that she "did not have the marshmallow to burn over it." I was ok with that for I was not expecting it anyway.
Then I went over to order my food and it was a smidge confusing with the various menus so I ordered something from the recommended parchment paper menu (turkey bacon, egg and Cooper sharp cheese). It was tasty.
There is not a tremendous amount of room inside so sitting outside in their sitting area is a must but be careful weather wise. They also have a nice restroom that I used as well.
Overall, I was glad to have tried this spot but not close to where I live. But to those who live nearby, I...
Read moreWent there on a whim today with my wife. Ordered the Honey Lavender latte and Holy Cannoli latte. Both delicious in their own creative way. But when I saw that the menu has sausage gravy, I had to order and try it and boy do I not regret it. The plethora of flavors and spices along with the amount of sausage and perfect texture of the gravy make it THE BEST I have ever had and Ryan does a phenomenal job with it. I've been to the south and have had sausage gravy every chance I get, and it is delicious. But out of all of the places I've been to, even my own father's recipe, this sausage gravy here is beyond special. It's a delicacy. All of the other items on the menu have such great promise with the sausage gravy being so d* good. Today was part of the soft opening since this place opened on Wednesday but it already has won my family's heart and will sure be back for more. I'm so happy for this to be in town and...
