I have been twice to dine in. I discovered the first time that you need to not assume that something labeled spicy, with 2 🔥🔥, will be actually spicy. The second visit I requested extra spicy, a 3, and it was definitely a level 3 compared to other Thai restaurants, and very good. Basil Fried Rice with shrimp yum. Tom Kha soup yum. Thai Iced Tea yum. Steamed Veggies yum, Spicy Ginger Beef good. Service was great. Too quiet. 1-3 tables filled max. Restaurant was ultra clean, lots of white and light grey colors with wood wall and tables/chairs. Love the King Rama Wood carved sign/accent piece. I'll be back for sure.

Went here for their $40 special, and was hoping to get more than a small portion. Not only was the drunken noodle noodles was tough & definitely not fresh like it's been sitting out, the chicken in it was also rubbery. The flavor was ok spice was decent but not spicy. Only thing was meal was very salty. Penang Curry was a small bowl filled with soup, not enough chicken or other ingredients in it. It came with a half cup of rice. Customer service was good because we're the only ones eating there. I was really hoping this place was better.

This was actually our second time to Thai Ginger , first time eating in. Previously had Green and Yellow curry that were very good (and the spice level correct for what we requested). This time was the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle. In Thailand we had a mini quest to try as much pad Thai as possible and this holds up to what we had there, drunken noodle was somehow even better. The staff is wonderful, no long waits despite it being Saturday evening. We will be back again, have to go through the whole menu : )

We've made two visits to the new Thai Ginger 2 in Merchantville. Our first visit was for takeout. The order was ready on time and the food was very good. We ate at the restaurant on our second visit, almost exactly one month later. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food, once again, was very good. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Soft piano music was playing at the beginning of our visit, which we especially liked. In person or when ordering takeout, you can easily adjust spice and salt, even fat levels, of the dishes you order. We like spicy food, but found that Spice Level 2 met that requirement at this new Thai restaurant. There are also many options of dishes made with tofu for vegans/vegetarians. The only dish I would tell you to avoid, is the Chive Vegetable Dumplings. They sound so good, but they are really just fried squares of dough (?) coated in chives and flavored with garlic - overall just too fatty/greasy. Otherwise, do give this new Thai restaurant a try. The food is fresh, authentic and flavorful. It's also a BYOB. Well...

I have ordered from this establishment on a number of occasions without any major issue with the food. The main issue comes in about its appropriateness for this community. Most of its customers come from local residents. In essence, we keep them in business. However, when it is time to return the favor for the people of this community that support them, they are not available. During any holiday parade or gathering where the community comes together as one family, this business closes its doors and turns its back to the people who live there. Therefore, I do not feel as though they see themselves as a part of our Merchantville union, but just a business to make money off of us. They may fair better in another town, but for Merchantville this is not the energy or the atmosphere for that type...

I love Thai food, and I couldn’t be more disappointed. I ordered the takeout lunch special. I didn’t get everything that should have been included and paid extra for dumplings that I didn’t get. The Pad Thai didn’t have any vegetables of any kind, no bean sprouts, no peanuts. It had spice, but there was no other flavor; it just tasted like chilis. It was grossly overpriced, even at the “special” lunch price, for subpar food. I would pay maximum $10 for what I received, and I was charged nearly $25. Not good, not worth it. It looked okay inside, but of course no one was there because it’s such a rip off. I wish I hadn’t thrown my money away. I can make noodles with chili sauce myself for less than $1. Or get microwaveable Pad Thai that has more flavor for less than $5. Don’t...
