I called Vincent's Pizza to place a really big order last week. I was not paying attention and for some reason, my phone dialed a Vincent's Pizza in Merchantville NJ instead of the Vincent's a few miles from where I live (in an entirely different state....).
As you would expect, when I drove to my local pizzeria, the staff had no idea what I was talking about when I came to pick-up order #43. It was then that I realized in my 30 plus years of experience ordering pizza, that they never issued order #'s for pickup - they just yell your last name.
I ran outside and double checked my phone and to my horror, I saw a New Jersey area code and realized my mistake. I was faced with two choices: One - block the number and go into hiding forever, or Two - call in, admit my failure and apologize profusely. I hesitated for a second, then decided to get into my car to place the call in case there was yelling involved.
There was no yelling. Instead, I was greeted by a kind "Hi, don't worry about it :) !!! ". Despite it being a busy 7:00 on a Saturday, the staff were kind and maintained composure. They insisted that the food would not go to waste but I insisted on having the manager call me back so I could figure out how to pay the them. Even though the order was very large, the manager and business owner insisted that I not worry. They were just happy that in 40+ years of being in business, someone actually called back to explain the mix up.
It was then I knew I at least owed them an amazing review to say the least. Situation resolved! Siri has been fired and a crisis has been averted. And probably Part 1 of a two part review, because after seeing some of the other great reviews on here, I really want to know how good forty years of experience in pizza making tastes :D
Thank you Vincent's Pizza in...
Read moreI just literally left Vincent's and I'm furious.... this terrible counter girl greeted me with "you can only get cheese" soon as she approaches the counter... I explained that I had come a long way for thier food and it was only 9:18 and thier service hours dictates 10pm closing time and she follows with "Well we tired and we closing at 9:30" so I remained polite but let her know that wasn't rite to mislead the customer like that she follows with "I don't care about all that cuz we gotta get outta here in time... you should've figured that you couldn't order in here you should've ordered on the phone" we than get into a whole nasty argument about her nasty temperament at the counter and she threatened to call the cops on me because I'm calling her out! Please Owners at Vincent's please know that I'm highly influential in the food industry and i came there because I previously loved your panzarottis but now with your current status of customer service and disrespect I am personally waging a campaign against yall unless something is done.... even your 2 employees from the back looked sorry about what they where hearing from this young lady at your counter... she had no care in the world about your business and this is something you just can't have!! You will hear from us very soon Vincent's!!!

Read moreOMG!! NOBODY can serve a tastier Tarantini panzarotti like Vincent's can. I remember waaaayyyyy back in the day when Vincent's "Pizza" didn't even make pizzas yet. All they had was Tarantini panzarottis. But I was a teenager and I didn't know any better. I called them up one day and asked for a large cheese pizza, and the lady who answered the phone said, "Sorry, but we don't have any pizza here." I laughed and said, "Well then, it might be a good idea to change the name of your store to Vincent's Panzarottis." And she got SOOOO mad at me, yelled at me for "prank calling" her, and then hung up on me. Lol. A few years later, I still hadn't realized that Tarantini panzarottis meant that they came pre-made from the Tarantini factory. I called the store asking if they could put a little extra sauce inside this time, and again... I got yelled at and hung up on. But I'm grown now and with information about everything literally at your fingertips...I've learned the difference between "Tarantini" panzarottis and other panzarottis that are made "in-house". The in-house made panzarottis are usually bigger than the traditional Tarantini panzarottis, and you can usually see the fingerprints of the person who made it. Not my favorite thing to see in my food. Vincent's is also close to where I grew up and even closer to where I live now. I recently learned that the signature taste comes from the type of oil they use to deep fry them. I DARE NOT divulge their...
