went in for the first time 2 days ago. literally we purchased 1 of every pastry in the case to give them a try.. OMG beyond good. not dry, very tasty. the tres leches cake which is my favorite is to die for.. The service we received was awesome. We will most definetly be regulars..

EDIT went in again to give it another try.. Ordered some alcapurrias, i loved the fact that they are fried to order, always good not to get food thats dried up sitting under lights for hours.. So I get my food after waiting 20 mins or so. They are $3 each which is a good price for the size. BUT.... noy very well seasoned.. From the masa to the meat didnt have that well seasoned Boricua flavor.. Fix the lack of seasoning and they would be 🔥🔥🔥.. I was going to buy some pasteles ($35 a dozen) but wanted to try the alcapurrias first because if they use the same masa for pasteles that they do for the alcapurrias this would give me an idea of how the pasteles would taste. So up your seasoning game and Tainos would have the Puerto Rican food on lock in Meriden.. also tried the cheesecake, the texture was good, but it didnt taste like cheesecake. couldnt even taste the "cheesecake" part, just the toppings on it. I order a sandwich a simple ham and cheese and they say it will take 15 mins, I say that is fine. 20 minutes pass and they yell a name I don’t hear it so I see that she is holding a sandwich so I assume after 20 minutes it was mine. I go and grab it and go to the car. I open it up not only wasn’t it my sandwich but it was also very small compared to other bakeries in the area. I go back in to the restaurant and say this isn’t my sandwich. I ask her where my sandwich is, the same girl that took my order said who took your order I said you did. She goes over to the register and finds the ticket stub that she never put in. So my order was never placed and then she smiles and laughs about it, I don’t find it funny and ask for my money back, she never apologized or never tried to remedy the situation. I give a one star and total because three times I went to the location and they were closed during open hours and it was not a holiday and there's no reason to be closed and I wasted my time and gas and I took pictures and I have proof. Also I gave a three-star for the food because every time I order anything it's full of oil and I believe they're frying the empanadas with uncooked beef instead of having it pre-cooked so I give it a three star for that reason.
