Used to come here as of today never again so the cook in the back made a mistake on my on my sons bacon egg and cheese sandwich and cooked a bread tie in the egg I told my son to run down ask nicely can he make a new one so Carlos the cook in the back told my son he should have not put the bread tie in the sandwich which my son didn’t not to mention my son is autistic very calm and he never gets mad and was so sad and upset when he came back home saying mom he said I did that to my own sandwich and that’s not nice so did the grandpa back there mama I don’t want my food no more and went to his room upset so I go down to ask nicely and the son and grandpa was yelling at me very nasty with customers there saying they don’t ever have bread ties for they bread just out right rude with no apologies what so ever mind you I live in the area we’re they rent so they can be very nasty I’m not the first one they have treated this way not to mention no seasoning on any of my food. Ever since The Green Deli opened, I was coming at least twice a week to try everything on the menu. I’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu now and I’ve been happy with all of it! Food is made-to-order and always delicious. The owner is originally from NY so you can get a REAL bacon, egg, and cheese here (I get an extra egg). I’ve tried many places within a 3 town radius of Meriden looking for a BEC like NY does and this is finally the place. Their bread is even from New York! Their meats and cheeses are Boar’s Head (the best) and the vegetables are fresh. I also love their chicken cutlet! It’s always perfectly crispy, as is their bacon. The owner and his family have been super sweet and personable every single visit. They’ve taken the time to talk and make sure I was happy with what I got. Warm and friendly place...

My favorite meal is a sandwich. So, needless to say, my favorite restaurant is a Deli. So, I came here, as I heard they just opened in December 2022.

I was most warmly greeted by Aida (co-owner and one of the staff). I knew right then this place was something special.

Carlos and Guillermo (all part of the family owned deli) made me several packed sandwiches, that were VERY tasty (Mucho Sabor)! They have so many options to pick from.

I don't drink smoothies much, but Daniela (co-owner) gave me a Pina Colada smoothie sample, and it was to die for. I thought I was drinking a fruity drink on a beach in Cartagena, Colombia.

They open early, so I'll try them soon in the morning for many breakfast options to choose from. They said they'll have many Colombian flavors on their menu, soon. I can't wait to try them.
