KFC — Restaurant in Meridian

Trash service. When I ordered at the drive through window. I ordered a BLENDED root beer float. Apparently they're called a freeze I did not know that. They did not repeat my order back. When I got to the window I was given a regular rootbeer float. When I asked for the correct item I was met with "well I'm going to charge you for a freeze, you did not ask for a freeze" At this point I could care less. Sure charge me. She takes back the cup that's already been in my car since I was holding it. Walks around the corner and comes back with the same drink but blended. Don't see why that costs an extra dollar but whatever. Also a health violation because technically you're not supposed to take food or drinks that have been with the customer because you don't know about contamination. Here's the kicker. Instead of refunding the original recipe and correcting it there, she decided that it's best to ring up a whole new drink and subtract the base price of the drink she charged me. Not taking in consideration of taxes. When I pointed out that HER MISTAKE cost me more money than it needed to be she scoffs and tells me it's just 6 cents. That she can get some change from her pocket if I really needed. This is what sent me over the edge. ITS NOT YOUR RIGHT TO DECIDE WHAT I DO WITH MY MONEY AND NOT YOUR RIGHT TO TAKE IT UPON YOURSELF TO STEAL AND DECIDE I SHOULD BE OKAY WITH IT BECAUSE ITS JUST SOME CHANGE. ITS THEFT. I do not care the amount, you can not just take from someone. It's literally the principle of the fact. I really hope Jenny finds a new job. I stopped in to the Meridian KFC on 6/7/2023 after a long day at work about 6:30 p.m. had to wait quite awhile in the drive thru to have my order taken, she apologized and was pleasant. I ordered the k-7 with side of corn and Mac n cheese, and a large mountain dew orange colored drink. It was 15 dollars and some change. I drove home in caldwell, sat down to a show on t.v. and ate the mac n cheese first, very delicious, then I ate the corn, very delicious, then I ate the biscuit, so very delicious. Now is when the disappointment becomes reality, I took my first chicken tender, or should I say, chicken bone dry and put it in the honey mustard sauce, and it was very dry. The last 4 chicken strips very, very tough and rubbery, could barely pull them apart. I had to throw away 4 of them because they were just to rubbery to eat, I've been going to KFC since I was a kid and never had chicken this nasty. The flip side is the staff taking the order were terrific, even with the long wait. I looked up what makes chicken strips tough and rubbery and it said it is often because the chicken is over cooked. Anyways, if it wasn't for all 5 of my chicken strips being nasty, this would have turned into 5 stars all the way across the board. Pros - friendly service with smiles, well-packed order, at good temperature.

Cons - Fast food prices have gotten so high. Mobile order wasn't ready at posted time. No one else was in the drive-thru, but I was told to pull forward and park in front as they were still preparing my cherry turnover bites. I said that I could wait at the window, as there was no one behind me, but they said I had to pull forward because their window service is timed. Well, see it kind of makes sense, if my order wasn't ready that it should be a longer time at the window. Just another way to fudge their numbers for corporate but not really take care of customer service. I wasn't in a hurry so I pulled forward and waited. I really didn't wait that much longer and got my order. On the mobile order, I did not choose utensils, and all I requested was one extra ranch sauce for 20 cents. Imagine my surprise when I open the bag to find 6 sporks, 6 packages of honey sauce and 5 packages of butter flavored spread. All I had ordered was one 3 piece tender's combo meal. It is amazingly wasteful to give me all these extra items that I did not request. The cherry turnover bites, that I had waited for, were very oily and under cooked. I had to air fry them myself an additional ten minutes for them to be edible. I wonder if they actually deep fry them! PS - Do not get the cranberry Pepsi soda, as it is literally...
