Street Tacos La Cruz — Restaurant in Meridian

I had the California burrito and Al pastor taco and if I could give 10 stars I would! The taco was PACKED with meat and had great flavor. The Cali burrito was delicious! Also did not skimp on the meat there. The carne asada was great quality and it was SEASONED so well. The fries were nice and crispy. The guacamole was fresh. The burritos soft shell was fresh as well. And the ladies running the food truck were very welcoming. They all were smiling, making conversation, and ultimately looked like they were having fun! I’d assume they were all family and that, along with the amazing food, makes me want to come back over and over. I’d also like to add, being a born and raised Kentuckian I know good southern home cookin and while this isn’t southern cooking it shares similar qualities. When you find the love of your life, and then she just disappears! By far the best, Carne Asada fries, I’ve ever had in my life! People don’t believe me! I say yeah, right by the gas station! Then, like the cliché taco wagon. Gone! Google says open, but they’re not there! My therapist says I should change my food choice! I tell her why make good food, if you’re just gonna disappear! I get it, some days you just can’t show up but it’s like chasing the plug when you just want a good burrito. A little advice from somebody that owns multiple businesses. Be consistent. Show up. I will try one more time, but if they’re not there I’ll never go back. Especially when you drive 30 minutes with your mouth. Drooling just to see if they’re not there. I have returned to give them another chance and I’m glad I did! Their location is perfect for me but the important thing is their food! I’m a real-deal Mexicano straight outta Tijuana with a loooooooooong list of Mexican restaurants that I have been to in several different states in both countries (Mexico and the US).
