Taco Time — Restaurant in Meridian

First my order was wrong, which was no big deal. When I went back to get it fixed, no one a knowledged me at the drive through speaker, so I pulled up to the window. After waiting 5 minutes, I called on the phone because NO ONE ACKNOWLEDGED ME AT THE WINDOW. Despite the fact that there were four employees in the restaurant and no customers, no one answered the telephone! Finally, after I honked 2 or 3 times, the kid who originally took my order came to the window. When I told him my order was wrong, he started to walk away, but looked back and asked (from more than 10 feet away) what I had ordered. I asked him to come closer, then I told him what I had ordered. A few minutes later, one of the other people came back with another bag of food. I said, "On second thought, I don't think I want to eat that because he probably spit in it. I think I'll just take my money back. " She rolled her eyes, sighed, and pounded away at the register keys. Then she handed me money, without an apology or any other word expressing decent customer service. Halfway through the parking lot, I realized she hadn't given me the correct refund. She had shorted me over a dollar. I went in to the store and explained how, in a matter of 15 minutes, this Taco Time had screwed up 5 times (wrong order, ignored me at speaker, ignored me at window, didn't answer phone, short changed). All 4 people were rude, telling me not to yell (I wasn't yelling -yet). This Taco Time and its 4 incompetent workers just lost a long time...

First time at this location. It was terrible. For starters it was extremely slow. 13 minutes before I was able to order. Another ten waiting for food. During the ordering process I wasn't sure who was more confused, me or the person taking my order. I had asked for a seasoned beef taco salad without onions. The person taking my order assumed I didn't want salsa. Again I said no onions. She repeated "So you don't want salsa?" I said I wanted salsa but didn't want my salad topped with onions. She said something I couldn't understand until the end when she told me my total. So I drove up to the window several minutes later, and asked again for no onions but I would like salsa. She stared at me. An older later came up behind her and asked what I wanted. I said no onions on the salad. She asked if I wanted tomatoes. I said yes. We got our food and left. A couple of miles down the road I realized in all that confusion I hadn't received my drink. Called to let them know. They apologized and took my name down so I could claim the drink I had paid for but not received at a later date. Didn't want to go back for it because I didn't have another 30 mins to wait for a coke. After getting on the highway my girlfriend was going to start eating. There was no fork. There were no tomatoes on the salad. Tots were dry and cold. Chicken in my burrito was hard and tasted old. Truly disappointed and very dissatisfied. I like Taco Time. I just went to this Taco Time again and I needed to change my review from 4 stars down to 2 stars. Once again, large order during busy time. This time they had plenty of people working. They were fast but not even a little friendly. I get it, they were busy. The real issue was the food. The tortillas on the crisp burritos were either freezer burned or stale, possibly both. I don't know if they freeze them or not. They weren't crispy, they were like eating Styrofoam. Just terrible. I couldn't eat mine. We ordered 5 and they are 4$ now so we got 20$ worth of trash. Also...the meat was different from every other Taco Time in the area. I don't know how, i assume they all get the same stuff and use the same mixes. This meat tastes off and the texture is VERY different. I honestly don't understand it. Anyway...from now on I will drive the extra 15 minutes to go to a REAL Taco Time.

I can no longer recommend this Taco Time. However, I'm leaving my previous review in hopes that someone in charge reads this and understands that they not only CAN do better, but HAVE done better!

I just went to Taco Time for the first time in a couple years (mostly due to covid). I went through the drive through and, in spite of being seemingly short on staff (only 2 people working), the food was still hot and delicious after a 10 min drive home. My large order (10+ items) was accurate and even served fast. Highly recommend...
