King Kone — Restaurant in Merrimack

I have been coming here for years and their prices are great. Their portions are even better, however, I have to give them a one because they never ever update the correct flavors on their website. So you come in thinking you're going to get either pistachio or coconut or key lime pie and you're so excited cuz you don't know which one to choose But when you pull up the sign says peach and strawberry and coffee. What the hell? I hate all of those flavors. I just drove here for nothing because these lazy people can't update their website which gives them a one in my book. Get better organized, would you? It's ridiculously obnoxious to be given false information and it wouldn't be a big deal if it was just one time but it's every single damn time! Also a bunch of us stood in the wrong line. I usually wait until I visit a place multiple times before I write a review (unless I have a really bad experience and never go back,) so that's why I didn't immediately write this review on my first visit.

King Kone feels like a discount Dairy Queen, but with an overall friendly overtone that makes getting ice cream here feel a bit more personal than any other ice cream place I've been to. The prices are very fair, the portion sizes are a little over the top, the staff are very friendly, and they have a good selection of soft serve flavors that regularly rotate (which is updated over on their facebook page.)

King Kone overall feels like a Dairy Queen without the pressure of having the entire brand behind its staff, allowing it to be more friendly and a bit ridiculous with it's aesthetic. So in general, if you're in the area and have a craving for ice cream, I couldn't suggest King...

Absolutely the best soft serve ice cream in the area with weekly changes to the ice cream menu for their specials. They always have something interesting with mixing some of the ice creams together like apple caramel twist, Banana and chocolate twist or chocolate cherry twist, peanut butter, and chocolate twist, strawberry and blueberry twist for examples. They do an excellent job in the size of these cones!! These cones are absolutely incredible for the value! They make amazing size cones and they are very reasonably priced. Just drive by there sometime and you’ll see there’s always a lot of people there since it’s so popular! They serve other fast food there there too, but they’re known for their soft serve ice cream!
